Dexter S5E10 In The Beginning FULL REACTION

Comments

I love him and Lumen together ! He can be himself ! And yeah Deborah….stop being so smart ! 😂

I knew it was coming, but I still got chills with that phone call between Chase and Lumen. 😬 But I love that Dexter and Astor got a genuine dad, daughter reconciliation in this episode.

Jonny Lee Miller's American accent is ok, but you can tell it's an accent - it's a tad off and he's slipped more than a few times. Hugh Laurie's is pretty darn good though...

I am pretty sure Dex & Lumen killed Alex in his office’s closet. Chase doesn’t like to be touched and it makes all his schemes even more diabolical. What a sick villain!

Lee

Lumen and Dexter's bond is something we hadn't see yet and it's easily why this season is one of my favorites of the show.

James

I loved this episode so much. Dexters face when he gave her the gloves was like a kid watching their parent open a gift they gave them. She makes a much better apprentice than Miguel did

Janet

I love season 5 so much!

Octavia

Lumen is such a refreshing character to see the real Dexter. Lila was batshit and Miguel was stringing him along. Genuine dynamic here.

I gotta say, I'm so glad reading in the comments that people love season 5. elsewhere on the internet, I'm always seeing ppl say how much they dislike this season. And I get why people don't like it as much as certain other seasons, but as someone who has always loved s5, it makes me sad. Maybe the case isn't as exciting and suspenseful as Trinity in s4, but it was never meant to be. This is very much meant to be a healing season. Lumen is healing from her trauma as she joins Dexter to hunt down the people who did this to her, Dexter is mourning and healing from what happened to Rita as he helps her, and along the way discovering more human sides to him, which is absolutely what he needed after s4 where he made all the wrong choices & paid the ultimate price. I think the writers were very clever with the path they took s5 and pulled it off well. And next week we'll be finishing 5 then onto 6 and I'm just counting down the days to s7 which has some of my FAVORITE characters in the entire series. This has just been such a fun ride to re-watch the series with yall.

James

I gotta say this is my first watch of the show and season 5 is turning out to be one of my favorite seasons it’s so good. Obviously not as intense as last season but by no means is it worse quality or anything

Julia

What a great season. I love all seasons as Dexter is my #2 favorite show after Lost. But some seasons are better than other. This one is good.
