All the movies that missed out last month will get one more chance. Might do this more if it is a popular way of doing things! VOTE FOR MORE THAN ONE AS USUAL AND THE TOP 4 WILL WIN!

Comments

Will

THE MENU PLEASEEEE 🙏🏻 it’s so good. Also love this idea!!!

Darren P

ooh i appreciate this!

Jenny Lee Villanueva

Pitch Black, Black Phone, Cube and Menu for my top 4. But love most in this lineup

kimburley

Cool, some good picks … “Wanted” should be here though. I know they would love the vibe.

Hudson Savage

This is a fantastic idea! Alot of amazing movies on this pole. Let's hope people have the same taste as I do 😆

ShelleyAnn

Another chance for Twilight!! 🫶🏽

ShelleyAnn

Love this idea 👏🏼

TheGrouch74

Grown ups for Grown ups lol

Adam Belfort

HORRIBLE BOSSES, come on guys, lets laugh 😁

Troymk1

I think Rob and Trin would just love Pacific Rim. It’s a moral imperative

Chrissy

Great idea! Happy to see it’s giving Hamilton another go! One of these days, it’ll win.

fanda kroupa

Gone girl would be amazing it is a masterpiece

Chris B

Rob/Trin - I think it's a good idea. You always have such huge polls that every month a big amount of excellent, oscar-level movies doesn't make it. You can also take the runner-ups from previous polls and put them in a new poll.

Paola Villegas

I believe in you Quite Place: Day One 🙏🏽

John Borek

This movie is awesome

Wesleybucks

Couldn’t agree more. Sooooo their vibe

Chloe Arabella

Will this be Hamiltons time to shine?

Laura Downey

...I was actually waiting to vote until Jarnathan is here if that's ok.

MarySoul

Come on Quiet Place 🤫🐈

Anika

Hamilton and the Menu need to make it through this time.

WhatRabbitHole?

This is an incredibly fair way of doing things. My choices likely won't make it this month but still, a great idea. Nicely done, R and T!

FedeM

Great idea! NOW PEOPLE, PLEASE VOTE FOR HAMILTOOOON

Victoria Davis

I enjoy this round of votes I think this is a great way to give movies a second chance

Jordan Tanner

Prisoners, The Menu, Twilight, Batman v Superman (ultimate) 🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️🗳️

Jordan Tanner

Hamilton is a great production, but I don’t know how you react to something like that. It’s pretty “non-stop” music and rapping. 🤔

Jordan Tanner

The Menu and Prisoners!!! 🗳️

Beth

Have you guys previously watched Philadelphia or Glory? I suggest one of these every time it’s open but if they’re never going to get on the list because one or both of you have seen them previously I’d love to suggest something else. Thanks for always doing movies that we suggest and then picking some of your own I love the way you do it

James

D&D!!

jac jacob israel

Come on let's not throw away our shot Let's hope it wins and they'll probably turn on the subtitles

Emmy

YES. IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN... PITCH BLACK! PITCH BLACK! PITCH BLACK! (I chant as they drag me to the asylum...)🤣😩🤩

Forty

No Wicked? :( Wasn't it also nominated last month?

RavenLord

We can wish and hope! I would love to watch it over again.

WhatRabbitHole?

Glory is one of my favorite movies. The story, the history, the amazing cast and the fact that it's based on actual events. To me, this isn't just a great movie, it's an important one. Philadelphia is another and, though not based on actual events (correct me if I'm wrong about this), it's also an important movie. I'm sure we'll get around to both eventually.

WhatRabbitHole?

I can watch this movie over and over. Love it.

Jan T

No Spotlight, or Silver Linings Playbook? I thought they were in the last polls. The Nice Guys or D&D would be fun though.

Octavia

Wow... Ready or Not deserves more love. The guys who made it got the Scream 5 & 6 gig because of how well they did Ready or Not.

James

Probably in the next poll

Ashlyn Grizzle

If we don’t get Hamilton I’m gonna cry🥺 joking or course but I don’t think it’s ever gonna win

MarySoul

Serious question though.... Are we really as a community trying to make them watch Twilight deliberately? It looks like torture to me 🫣😂 and hey, I say this as a former Twihard.

Ezekiel rage

Second chance for Twilight, of course I'm in.

ZeeterPeter

Guys please I need a severance reaction. Please

Mecoy Carmine

Too many good choices you might have to just watch them all hehe

Octavia

The better movies here, in my opinion are... Pitch Black, The Menu, The Fugitive, The Accountant, Ready or Not, The Bourne Ultimatum, Leon: The Professional, Hamilton. And of course they aren't winning... because I don't know what this demographic is here.

CheshireKat528

2nd chance for Leon: The Professional & The Fugitive! WOOHOO!!!

Margaret

It's not looking good but we can keep on trying.

Kaylee Smeaton

Haha, I think it would be fun. I prefer the books to the films. But the films are a guilty pleasure xD

Jan T

I’m afraid this is going to be another very mediocre movie month. I think with The Fast and the Furious, and Pacific Rim doing so well, the demographic must be overwhelmingly very young and male.

Beth

Philadelphia is not based on a true story specifically just a great dramatization of events that it happened during that time. And I’m really glad you like both of them as much as I do. I was just wondering if Rob and or Trin had seen them because I always suggest them, but they’re never on the polls that I’ve seen. And as much as they love, Tom Hanks Philadelphia would be a great choice, especially with Denzel Washington, and the rest of that amazing cast and of course Glory with Morgan Freeman and Denzel, Washington another amazing cast in a loosely true story about an important group of people during the Civil War.

James

You can suggest shows for them to watch on their discord then when they finish a show the most suggested ones will be put into a poll. Severance has already been suggested, you can add a thumbs up or a heart to the message in the “content suggestions” tab

Ninaofthe90s

Prisoners is one of the top 3 in my opinion. Another Denis Villeneuve masterpiece.

Ninaofthe90s

Now that I think of it...did anyone ever suggest 'Parasite'? I'm actually shocked this didn't win yet, considering how popular (and great) it is!

ShelleyAnn

Yes. I need to see them cringe at this movie when they see edwards running 😂🤌🏽

Jan T

I think it would be pretty low, and a wasted opportunity for everyone if quality movies would be overlooked for Twilight.

Pantstealer

i'd vote for The Nice Guys a hundred times if i could, criminally underrated

MarySoul

@Jat T I would gladly watch Spotlight or Silver linings, The fugitive that is a must watch movies wise or the accountant, instead of others but I would gladly too watch Twilight if they choose to make it like a fun watch for them, like we are all in the joke. I can imagine Rob rolling eyes like crazy and Trin laughing tons at some of the absurdity, but if they have fun with a diss watch, I'm ok with it too. 😂🫣

MarySoul

@Kaylee Me the books too, and fanfiction 🫣

FedeM

Hamilton is gonna lose again and I am gonna LOSE IT

Jenny Lee Villanueva

It's my guilty pleasure seeing first time watchers. Even though I see the movies with a different older mind, is nostalgic for all the times I use to read the books and go to cinema to watch them, and also the dressing up hehe. I still have an item from this era, that wish to share when they watch it 🤪💜

MarySoul

Oh, those years, I completely understand the nostalgia 😅😉🤭

Bradley Weeks

Ooooh Hamilton! one day it will happen and I intend to be here for it.

Jan T

Absolutely agree. It’s so much fun.

Jan T

But it’s SO ridiculous. And then you’re going to want all the sequels, and that’s going to be 4 missed opportunities for quality films that both R&T and the rest of the group miss out on. All because you want to see Rob and Trin cringe, while doing their best to be polite about it? Seriously?

MarySoul

I don't think they are talking about the other 3, just the one, for laughs sake. And again, if it is voted, I mean, I really don't care for D&D, even though I played it, but if voted I will see it. Or not. The point is, nobody can't command or order other people to vote for x or y. Rob & Trin are doing their absolute best to be agreeable, but either they choose content all by themselves or they use poll and votes, which they are doing very fairly. Majority wins, democracy and all that 🤷🏻‍♀️

BM

Rn we have Pacific Rim, Grown Ups, Fast and The Furious and Dungeons and Dragons… 💀

BM

Hoped we can also suggest shows on Patreon, too bc not everyone is on discord

Jan T

Yes, Rob and Trin are doing their very best, it’s the group that are letting them down. As in voting for a really bad movie just to see them have to be polite about it. Personally I’d prefer that they choose the content themselves.

MarySoul

I imagine it is a difficult balance act when trying to cater to paying costumers sort of speak and enjoying themselves as well. Personally I don't want them to do nothing just for my or our amusement and their bland platitudes. I don't know them, but they don't even seem the type. I think most people prefer when reactors give their honest reaction, good or bad. And I just really follow and engage in two channels, but I'm I happier when they enjoy something I've enjoy before too? Obviously. But I'm also glad discovering new things alongside them. And can opt out of watching things I just don't have interest in, like Dexter, watch it religiously at the time, not in the mood for the rewatch, but happy makes so many others happy. In summation, as I said, if they are in the joke, and happy to do a diss watch and it is a honest poll win? 1 movie, won't be more that all the episodes that I don't watch of Dexter, and that's fine. I mean, I repeat, I don't care for watching again D&D, but I would never rob the joy of the watch of the people that so passionately have campaign for it if it wins. Even if personally I know Silver linings and Spotlight are awards contenders and winners and critics favorites and are in fact objectively better movies, even then.

ShelleyAnn

Jan , you're taking this far too seriously. We're voting for films WE want to see R&T react to , for whatever reason. Don't actively keep putting other people's suggestions down because it's not a film you want them to react to. Everyone's allowed a vote without having to explain their reasons, please be kind to others - I actively stopped suggesting films for months because someone always has something negative to say. It's not fair for people to make others feel like that x

MarySoul

Or sparkling..... I get it, too 😁 as I said, if they don't oppose and wins the poll? Lamb and Lion it is.

Stephanie Bedworth

I'm a 54 year old woman who proudly voted for Dungeons & Dragons, Pacific Rim, Hereditary, Cube, and Pitch Black. LOL

MarySoul

Excellent point, one's freedom stops, where the other's freedom begins.

Giovana

A quiet place pleaseeee

CardboardSpoon

One day my friend, we’ll be sated, and it’ll be glorious

Stephanie Bedworth

I personally suggest or vote for movies that I think they'll enjoy, based on what I've seen from them in the past. That's why I voted for D & D. Is it an award winning film? Absolutely not, but I have a feeling they'll enjoy it as much as I did.

MarySoul

And that's what I do, that's why I suggested Quiet Place and I can see them liking D&D even if I wanted something different from the movie, I loved the cartoons so I was very excited for it. But that's me, personally, why I meant by awards and stuff is that it doesn't really matter if it not voted and if they are not going to enjoy it. I actually think they are going to like to watch Pacific Rim pretty much, for example.

James

If it gets suggested enough but doesn’t win it might be a R&T pick

James

If you tell me the name I can put your suggestion in the discord for you. No guarantees it gets chosen any time soon but it would be there

Rob & Trin React!

We only included the top 25 movies with the most likes. Patreon is limited in poll amount.

Jan T

@Stephanie. I agree. I only suggest and vote for films I believe Rob and Trin would truly enjoy and/or appreciate. That’s why I voted for D&D and The Nice Guys. Neither are award winning movies, but at least they’re both fun, as I said elsewhere in the comments. I have “guilty pleasure” movies too, but I wouldn’t dream of suggesting them to people I admire and who only have our suggestions to choose from. Rob and Trin deserve better.

Octavia

Once again... I'll be living for R&T picks.

RegTravels

It's important to know that if you pick Hamilton, it is perfectly ok (preferred) if you pause in between songs to discuss. Either way, I just hope we get to watch it with you!

WhatRabbitHole?

I think I might just watch Philadelphia again, whether it ends here or not. It's been so long since I've seen. I just remembered Neil Young and Springsteen's contributions to the film. The opera scene. All of it. So amazing.

Gabriel

looks like we’re gonna get a double dose of Rodriguez ;p

Forty

Not gonna lie, a part of me almost wants stuff like Grown Ups to win, just so it stops showing up in these polls. It baffles me that so many people vote for such absolute schlock every month, especially when so many of the other options are genuinely outstanding films.

Anatol

So there are "Gone Girl" and "Léon: The Professional" - two of the best movies ever made and you all pick stuff like "The Fast and the Furious", "Pacific Rim" and "D&D"? Interesting... 🙈

Thragg

Pacific Rim is good but I agree that the other 2 movies are bad or "decent".

Georg Eide

If you watch Twilight as a comedy its actually really funny. Its one of the best bad movies in existance right up there with the room

Stephanie Bedworth

Look, I'm a big fan of Luc Besson and Leon is a good movie, no doubt about it, but I've never had any interest in rewatching it. I don't care for the Fast and Furious franchise myself, but D & D and Pacific Rim are both very enjoyable movies. They're not cinematic masterpieces, of course, but you can't tell me that Rob and Trin aren't probably going to have a great time watching them.

Stephanie Bedworth

I'm frankly shocked. The majority of the movies that I voted for this time are winning. That never happens. Now I gotta just keep plugging away at Stranger Than Fiction and hope it makes it one day.

Gabriel

I’d argue that the first one is actually a good movie. People might misremember this, because of how huge this franchise became (and very quickly too), was a smaller almost Independent movie. It was at least earnest and tried to be art, whereas the following ones were just money motivated pieces of bad content

Gabriel

Jan So, being both ageist and sexist? Great 🙄

Georg Eide

Were you high when watching it? Its a terrible movie, based on a worse book. Not going to make spoilers while explaining why, but the dialogue alone is pure comedy. It had appeal to young girls because Bella is a blank slate you can simply transpose yourself onto thats it.

Anatol

Not saying it wouldn't be fun to watch some of those with R&T - just wondering how some "kinda entertaining" movies are taking over some of the best ever. Mostly regarding which movies are designated to deliver great reactions...

WhatRabbitHole?

I will vote for Stranger Than Fiction every time. So thank for continuing to suggest it.

will Hancock

i liked them all a lot and im a guy lol. i think the series would be a good watch and good for the channel as well. even though twilight and hunger games are nothing alike i feel like they have the same audience. I seen people making jokes about it and then i watched it and was like wow this is a cool little series.

Octavia

1000%. Everytime a mediocre movie gets watched... I at least think: Thank god that is over with now. I guess if I can wait it out... one day only better movies will remain.

WhatRabbitHole?

Gonna be honest, I really tried to watch Fast and Furious. After all, one of the biggest franchises in the world. Made it about 10 minutes in and just couldn't stop laughing. Had high hopes for D&D too. Great cast. Got a little further into it than F&F but ultimately had to move on. Pacific Rim was fun. But the majority wants what the majority wants. Hopefully, we continue with the ranked choice voting and drill down to the what we think of as "the good stuff", which is, of course, different for each of us. For some, most apparently, F&F and D&D constitute "the good stuff". Not my place to tell them they're wrong. I'll look forward to Leon and others and pray we don't have to sit through the whole F&F franchise. After all, there's still the Twilight saga. 😕 Wait. 🤔 Nevermind. 😐 My god, I haven't even seen The Deer Hunter suggested yet. Apocalypse Now? Jaws fer cryin' out loud? Ever see a movie called Amelie? The Commitments? Taxi Driver? Ok. Fast and Furious it is. 🫡

Jan T

@Anatol. I’m surprised you’d rank Leon as a “best ever” movie. It’s okay, but I find some aspects with Natalie Portman’s character quite problematic. This whole list is pretty mediocre tbh. But at least D&D is a well made fun romp, and I can see R&T getting a laugh out of it. As usual, most of the highest quality films didn’t even make it into the poll. Thankfully there’s some great TV shows to watch instead. 🙂

Octavia

Sometimes it's just the truth. I also feel that the voting leans heavily towards undiscerning younger and male. But I also think too many women like dreck like Twilight. Definitely think there are many males & females with broader quality tastes. But there's a trend here to consistently favor flash over substance. (Occasionally I do, too.) Might not be the case, but the choices really consistently suggest it. The fact that classics like Dances With Wolves (for example) never win, but D&D does... speaks volumes to me.

Anatol

Léon is definitely in my top 30 (out of 1400+) movies.... @Jan T: if you are on Discord, I'll be glad to discuss this topic. I also have to agree with the TV show part. R&T are always delivering some of the best reactions for some of the best shows out there!!

Jan T

@Anatol, I’m not even sure what Discord is, sorry. I signed up with Patreon for the first time last year, to see Rob and Trin’s full reaction videos. But I’m not very tech savvy, I’m afraid.

Anatol

Discord is a chat platform for great people like you (and a few hundred other members of R&T) so feel free to join if you like. :) https://discord.gg/uPgbFzWQ No pressure tho - just if you want to. :)

Jan T

Thanks Anatol! I’ll look into it. 🙂

Best adventure

We must make Rob and Trin watch the Hereditary.

Emmy

Hey, you other 93 people that voted for Pitch Black? 😘😘😘

Large Big79

The R&T picks will save us 🙏

Kale

Hey!

Georg Eide

Taste in media is subjective, but that doesnt mean there arent objective markers to judge off. Even an AI can explain to you were the movies and books are terible in terms of filmography, writing and acting. That doesnt mean that it cant appeal to you, or that the characters cant be relatable. But at its core its the story of a 109 year old vampire obsessing over a 17yo, and its OK because he LOOKS 17.

will Hancock

good series i feel. perfect for reacts.

Jan T

@will. But The Hunger Games is actually good.

WhatRabbitHole?

Hey. Pretty sure I was at least 10 of those votes. Not really. It's just been long since anyone kiss emojied me. But, yes, Pitch Black.

Octavia

I agree... I would not classify Twilight as objectively good storytelling or filmmaking. It's like the trashy, thin Harlequin romances that I read at the beach as a 16 year old. Easy, breezy, forgettable and cliche. I wouldn't put the Movies or the Books in a time capsule for the future, that's for sure.

Gabriel

Georg Eide So because I have a different opinion and appreciation, I was for sure high when I saw it 🙄 do you even realize how arrogant and dismissive you appear to be ?!?! And btw I know all about how to differentiate subjectiveness and objectiveness in visual media… I went to film school, so since you seem to be SO knowledgeable and sure of your analysis, I guess you went to film school as wellll. Out of curiosity, where did you go? 🙃

Jan T

I tried the address but I kept getting the message “cannot open the page because the address is invalid” . Not sure what I’m doing wrong, but as I said, I’m not very tech savvy.

Captain

Another month of more generic movies making it through the polls. How some of these movies are losing out to the likes of Twilight and Grownups I will never understand. Really hoping rob and trin picks will be good this go around.

Stephanie Bedworth

gdcalhoun, Amelie is AMAZING. Speaking of the French, I'd also love to see them react to Brotherhood of the Wolf, and He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not.

Flopsi80

Yes. It's a must see for horror fans in my opinion.

Kamanda Hickey

I thought it will be a second chance for Leon....😩

Georg Eide

You lost whatever argument you thought you had going when you used the age old «im an expert look at me i went to school» instead of explaining why you think the filmography, acting and story is good when its obvious its not true, you dont have to go to film school to know that. There are real film experts out there that can break everything they did wrong, and literally thousands of great movies in contrast. Its fine if you like fast food, but if you run around telling everyone its gourmet food and they should take your word for it because you are a chef you look like a clown. I do appoligize for my are you high comment, that was just my shock at someone who actually convinced themselves because they like something it must be objectivly good.

Ayleids

at this point there has to be one guy voting multiple times on his "poles" but maybe im just crazy 😏

Adam Belfort

I agree with you on most occasions brother. But I truely believe that it’s one of the good months (watched only one movie last month), unlucky for Leon (I love me some Jean Reno, trust me) but I feel like we gotta appreciate the fact that there is only one « Fast and Furious » kinda movie 😂

Elle

The likes of Grownups? haha. No offence ofc, we all like what we like... But this sentence right here is proof that we all have very different tastes, which is why the polls can be so varied. I myself only voted for one of the movies that got in this time, but each to their own. I'll probably watch a few of them still. R&T do a good job of accepting what people suggest and picking their own I think. Just watch what you like each month, and skip the rest. Can't please everyone as they say :)

Anatol

I get your point. Well, thanks to the R&T picks, it actually became a great month (for me at least).

Anatol

The link is working, maybe you mistyped a letter? (It's case sensitive so better copy and paste it)

Beth

The opera scene. One of Tom Hanks two best acting scenes in my opinion, along with the ending scene in Captain Phillips. Just my opinion because he’s been great in so many things, but those two scenes always kill me.
