i just love this storyline with Harrison personally. Cuz while yes it seems like he also has his own dark passenger, i think brain!Deb also has a point, that he feels a lot more than Dexter ever did. It's like, both things can be true at the same time.

Yikes. That took a turn with Harrison. I’m wondering now if he knows about Dexter’s involvement with Trinity, and blames him for Rita’s death. 🤔

Octavia

After Deb died, and before Dexter disappeared himself from Miami... he should have made sure that Harrison was raised with Cody & Astor, at the grandparents. I know they are Paul's parents, but Harrison had previously stayed with them a lot. That would've been the better parenting choice.

Octavia

Harrison ruined Ethan & his family's lives. Ethan wasnt guilty of anything yet... so he did not fit the code at all. And a little speech about bullying doesn't change that what Harrison did was worse. At first I thought that they made the killer of the girls too obvious, too soon. I mean, eyes + size + lies in ep 3 is a dead giveaway. There were really only 2 choices... and Clancy Brown has 6 inches (plus bulk & large head) on Fredric Lehne. But I guess original Dexter did usually tip the killers, early on. And it was the only way to turn into the 'Matt's alive' subterfuge. The way Kurt reacted to Angela broadening the search areas for Matt... then suddenly it's, Matt's fine. No more searching.

Loving the vibe in this series compared to the setting of Miami. Gives me a fresh look into Dexter and loving the “Dad” Dexter and his inter-dialogue with the new dynamics 😈

Janet

In all of the og Dexter, Dexter was scared that Harrison might have his dark passenger. He never would have smiled about it.

Amazing episode. I’m super excited to see how this pans out now. Harrison is so similar to Dexter in so many ways even the way he eats. Personally I do think Ethan was planning on shooting up the school but Harrison just used that opportunity to kill a killer like his father does. Very eerie that his murder weapon is the same one trinity used

James

He didn’t fit the code because Harrison doesn’t know the code but that doesn’t mean Ethan was innocent either he was going to shoot up the school and kill people

Octavia

There is zero proof that Ethan was actually going to do anything. You can't pre-determine guilt and punishment. I was refering to Dexter mentioning to 'Deb' that it was like he was following the code... but in reality it did not fit the code. Harrison was the bad guy here, not Ethan.

James

If the police are saying he was attempting a school shooting I would assume they found guns at the scene they also said multiple injuries so I assumed some people were already shot at . Plus Ethan drew a picture of the punisher around a bunch of dead people. I’m not saying Ethan is 100% to blame, because he isn’t he was bullied into that position and a person can only take so much shit from people I don’t think he’s truly a bad person. I’m also not really defending Harrison and saying he’s not at fault because he really should not of tried to killed him in that way. Without doing proper investigation and verification

Octavia

There were no other injuries. It was only Harrison and Ethan. And Harrison struck first, from behind. And Harrison just happened to have a straight razor with him, to do it with, after listening to the podcast about Trinity? Huge difference between thinking about doing something and actually doing it. Harrison lied, did both knifings, and hid the razor. Ethan was telling the truth when, as Angela mentioned, he said he had no idea what happened. The police were only going by Harrison's story and the notebook of drawings. I mean, his drawings were similar to The Punisher, as Harrison had remarked. Nothing to say it wouldn't remain fantasy, like graphic novels. Also not saying that Harrison is a monster... but he seemingly ruined that family's lives on an impulse. Which is so wrong.

James

He definitely didn’t happen upon the razor he was obviously going to do something with it I’m not disputing that. I was also under the impression that it was classified as a school shooting meaning someone had a gun and Harrison didn’t have a gun. The two things can both be true, Ethan could’ve brought a gun to shoot up the place and Harrison could’ve had his knife and just used that as his opportunity to fill his need to kill someone. I haven’t seen further ahead so I don’t know if it’s confirmed that he didn’t have a gun or whatnot.

Octavia

There was no other weapon involved... just a knife and the straight razor. Both ones that Harrison used. Watch it again. Harrison sliced Ethan from behind, then stabbed himself. The knife was probably in Ethan's bag... as most of these kids seemingly have knives and guns in this town. As Dexter explained... Harrison attacked Ethan first, from behind. Ethan went down and out. Then Harrison stabbed himself with a regular knife... hiding the razor to make it appear that only the one knife did both injuries. It's why Dexter so quickly determines that the story doesn't add up. Small town cops getting ahead of themselves and labeling it as preventing a possible upcoming school shooting... based on Harrison's story and the notebook. There were guns found at Ethan's house, in Ethan's room, purchased by his father. So that is cause for future concern. But everyone in that town owns guns. But they were not brought to school. For me, the list labeled "f u guys" is not enough to be called a kill list. The cops are half assing it, just like with Matt. Whether Ethan would ever do more than fantasize and draw, we can't know.
