A Quiet Place Day One 2024 FULL REACTION

Comments

Bradley Weeks

Perfect timing! I just came here looking for this.😃

Jenny Lee Villanueva

I forgot this was today! Love this movie. Happy early father's day 🫂

kimburley

Cool, cool… jumping in now 😎

Flopsi80

Yeah, it´s online! This is the movie I was looking forward the most this month. I like it so much. And I am curious if Rob and Trin recognized Eddie from Stranger Things.

Bradley Weeks

I didn't expect to be laughing so much during this reaction. I really enjoyed the stress release humor and I'm glad you both liked this one.

kimburley

Djimon Hounsou is the guys name (the sweet beautiful black man). You saw him in the first Gladiator and Guardians of the Galaxy. My favorite movie he is in is “Amistad” 1997 and “In America “2002. Along with him in that last one, is Samantha Morton (Alpha from TWD) Love him as an actor!

James

Seriously this was an amazing reaction, Rob I don’t think I’ve ever heard you swear so much from jumpscares. A quiet place is honestly an amazing series the concept behind it is entertaining and whoever directs these movies is a genius

ChrisMackTalks

I’m surprised we haven’t seen you guys react to Captain American Brave New World yet

G.C

Rob I know you play some video games but their is a brand new A Quiet Pace Road Ahead video game on PS5 and etc that came out recently and it might just be up your alley

Jan T

I cheated and checked the “Does the Dog Die” app, to see if the cat lived or not before watching this 😅. Really good movie, a rare case of a sequel being as good if not better than the original. The two lead actors were lovely, and developed a beautiful relationship (especially with the cat). The movie was rivalled only by Rob and Trin’s banter to keep Rob calm. 😁

Kale

Marvel is done in order (mostly) lots of shows to get through but I do not doubt they will react to it when they can.

Jenny Lee Villanueva

I believe the actress had a fear of cats that she had to overcome for this movie

Elle

What a beautiful movie. I was not expecting that at all. Casting was perfection, the storyline was moving and emotional yet still very suspenseful. Lupita Nyong'o is an amazing actor, and pretty big in her own right, she won an Oscar for 12 years a slave, was also awesome in Us. Djimon Hounsou you maybe know from Gladiator? I remember him from that and Blood Diamon with Leo, but he's been in many things also, but should be in more. Such a great face. Didn't know Eddie from Stranger things was in it, what a great role for him. He plays the scared hero very well!

SlipS_Tiger

You guys really immersed yourselves in this movie. Great reaction.

Kitikits

Wow, what a great movie and reaction! So much fun rewinding some of the jump scares 😆 Great casting too.

MarySoul

Come on, guys! I would never campaign for a cat-threatening movie! 😋 So glad you both enjoyed it and could appreciate the beauty and humanity behind the whole “aliens attacking Earth” scenario. That’s actually what I loved the most about the film: that she—the goddess that is Lupita—found joy and beauty in the most unexpected way, in the worst possible situation. And to top it off, she went out like a boss. Honestly, she did more heroining here than in the entire MCU—and that’s saying a lot. I didn’t know Joseph Quinn before this, but he was so lovable and earnest, it was impossible not to fall in love with his character.

Cindy

I was wondering if you would have recognized Alex Wolff who played Reuben. He played the young Spencer in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and the Next Level. He grew up!

Flopsi80

He is in Hereditary, too.😉

Anthony Ancona

I am a Hospice Nurse, cancer is shit. Love your reaction to this movie!

Reavezz

I respect Rob's passion for wanting to cure cancer because you're right its absolutely shit and so depressing. However the joke about going to Mars instead of curing cancer was pretty out of touch and lame. Those two fields have absolutely NOTHING to do with each other. By that logic I'm mad at F1 car designers for not curing dementia. It makes no sense and is kind of a slap in the face to all scientists that dedicate their lives to try and explore the universe and strive to keep the human population going no matter the circumstance and learning more about our place in the stars. One has no bearing on the other and both can be accomplished simultaneously. It's also like when players of a game get mad at the team that designs weapon skins for not patching bugs. Those are two completely different divisions of a game company that have nothing to do with each other. Anyway, long rant over (I'm passionate because I am in astrophysics) and otherwise an amazing reaction as always! Keep it up yall

Reavezz

So brave

Reavezz

You forgot to mention that he was also in A Quiet Place Part II he was the father on the island that Cillian ran into and he died saving them at the broadcast station

SYN

I’m pretty sure Rob’s comment was a dig at the fact that a certain mars seeking billionaire helmed a particular government agency that very publicly slashed federal funding to medical research— unless im overestimating his knowledge of currents American events

Octavia

As soon as I saw the trailer for this and the prominent cat... I went immediately to 'Does the Dog die'. That site is a lifesaver for me. Movies like this, Independence Day, Prey, The Abyss get extra points from me just for protecting the featured animal.

Reavezz

Yet again though Elon Musk nor DOGE have nothing to do with the curing of cancer. And the medical research funding they cut wasn’t toward the curing of cancer. It was a private equity firm that claimed they were researching dormant tumor cell regrowth or something along those lines which isn’t even the way to cure cancer. Cancer cure funding is at the highest amount it’s ever been now than ever in US history even after DOGE. And just because someone is a billionaire does not obligate them to donate their money to one or any particular funding program. Still an out of touch and lame comment even if it was targeted toward Musk who by the way has done way more for humanity and it’s progress and saving lives than 99% of people alive today.

Jan T

Absolutely! As soon as I see a featured animal, in a movie or show , I press pause straight away and check DtDD. I’m SO grateful to the people who came up with that site. It’s saved me so many times from movies I just don’t need to see.

MarySoul

I really have no stake in this conversation and would rather stay quiet, but I’m quite militant about trying to understand someone else’s perspective — even when it’s not as well-informed as others, or simply different due to life circumstances. That’s a mindset I truly believe should be taught in schools and embraced everywhere. Criticism, especially when it’s not constructive, does little to foster the kind of society we should aspire to. It doesn’t build bridges or contribute to the creation of a more compassionate, advanced civilisation. And that’s not just my professional opinion as an International Affairs graduate with a Master’s in Cultural Management and a Postgraduate Degree in Diplomacy — it’s also my deeply personal view, simply as another living being on this rock. Furthermore, it seems to me that the original comment made about Mars — and similar endeavours — came from a place of personal (emotional) experience with this horrific disease. And honestly, that’s something I fear far more than any alien invasion or Musk’s butchering of a mission to become Lex Luthor incarnate. It’s no secret that science has evolved far more rapidly than our collective human consciousness can fully process or adapt to at the same pace. Yet, one thing I personally believe can help balance many of our arguments is compassion. I’m not trying to preach, as if I’m wiser than anyone — it’s just that I’ve lived through enough conflict to understand that the us vs. them mindset, in any field of conversation, almost always breeds more tension and division. It rarely, if ever, leads to a positive evolution of ideas or genuine understanding. P.S. And just to mic out — I want to add that there’s a difference between understanding what’s happening in the U.S. as someone living through it, and experiencing it from the outside. When you see headlines like “U.S. government cuts research funding across major university campuses”, you may not know all the details, but the general feeling is still worrisome. Yes, I’m aware that conflict has historically driven scientific and civilisational advancements — but that doesn’t mean I can, in good conscience, accept the idea of plunging into a World War III just to reach the next stage of progress. If we even get there. It’s all relative. It all requires perspective — and a willingness to understand other points of view, even when they upset us or make us uncomfortable. As you said, science has propelled us to levels of well-being that are exponentially better than what we had even just a century ago — not to mention the enormous leap from the Middle Ages. And yes, reaching Mars (or the Moon, in its time) didn’t stand in the way of that progress — it actually drove it. The technological and scientific advances required to send humans into space demanded the collaboration and development of countless other fields. All of that is extraordinary, and worth celebrating. But one thing I’m sure of: you won’t find an astronaut mocking or belittling someone’s emotional reaction. Because if anyone on this planet truly has perspective, it’s those who’ve looked back at our pale blue dot from space — and grasped just how meaningless all this bickering really is.

Reavezz

With all due respect I have zero interest in reading the rest of this after you slyly tried to insult my level of informed as well as going out of your way dropping a bunch of your “credentials” right before claiming you aren’t trying to preach as if you’re wiser than anyone. I wish you luck in your future endeavors though and I hope that you can eventually separate your political and personal biases from objective good for humanity.

Rob & Trin React!

Yeah it was supposed to be a light hearted comment and in no way was directed at anyone. I would never actually think I know what is best for humanity etc and I never even said anyone's name. Sorry if it caused offence but that was not mine or Trins intention 💕

Elle

I think was clearly a light comment, not intended to have a dig at all of space exploration, that is how it came across to me anyway. I can understand the frustration too seeing seemingly frivolous spending by some when there are so many other world issues that can be tackled, such as cancer. Whether they directly relate doesn’t stop that frustration, and it’s ok to voice that I think. Is not like Rob making that statement is going to shut down all global space exploration haha It's easy to get frustrated by things like this when you’ve been touched by cancer as most of us have, just as I’m sure it’s easy for you to get frustrated by some comments since you have your own biases being in the industry you are in. It isn’t too hard to have some understanding on why someone reacts or says what they do about something, and either not responding, or responding in a way that could potentially be helpful instead of negative. Like since you’d probably know infinitely more about potential positive contributions space exploration could also have in the medical field, you could kindly educate, while still understanding the frustration a lot of people might have in some of the more frivolous spending done purely for profit and prestige, not for progress. Anyway, just my mostly meaningless thoughts on the matter :D

kimburley

Yes, I didn’t mention it because they did in the reaction. He has been in many more movies I didn’t mention either.

Shabaqo

Got nothing wrong with people on the left or the right but when you go FAR LEFT OR FAR RIGHT you lost the plot and you disqualified yourself from being a reasonable person its a damn movie reaction and people still need to bring politics into it.... Fucking Crazy

Shabaqo

yup lost my dad to blood cancer and it was the most devastating thing in my life can't imagine what you and other alike have to deal with every day you work.

Paola Villegas

So excited to watch this! I absolutely loved it and was bawling in theaters, the two actors did so fantastically well I was captivated by both of their performances.

Lucinda Michel

In case you missed the LOTR reference, Frodo was named that because her name was Sam.
