Such a great film

We had a high school that was built on a tar pit not far from us and there is a similar case against the government for not moving the school as soon as things were noticed to be going wrong, every time they got heavy rain black sludge would ooze up from under the grass and it was 5 years after noticing before they shut down the school, And my friend that was there and around 147 people from those years have had tumours or died of various cancers before they were about 40, there is a case pending here with marsden lawyers. It's really scary to think what some of these companies could be doing to people

This is a really good, really impactful movie... based on the real events with the real Erin Brockovich. Julia Roberts won a Best Actress Academy Award for her performance. In fact, she became the first actress to win an Academy Award, BAFTA Award, Golden Globe Award, National Board of Review Award, Critic's Choice Award, and Screen Actors Guild Award for a single performance. Thank you for picking it! (And thank you to whoever suggested it!)

A truly great movie. There are other similar movies that are also based on a true story. "Dark Waters," with Mark Ruffalo, is also a very good one.

It had been a while since I had last seen this movie and I forgot how good Julia Roberts is - it's practically a master class in reactionary acting (the scene where George tells her about her daughter's first words, for example). Incidentally, director Steven Soderbergh actually lost the Best Director Oscar to himself...for Traffic, another fantastic film though very different from this one.

I’m glad you picked this one out. One of my favourites from the time it came out. Sheryl Crow in the soundtrack adds that layer of nostalgia for me too!

I think I'll try and watch this one with you. I've never been able to make it through a full viewing of it before.

A Bundt cake ! It’s a cake with a hole in the middle. They’re good !

I haven’t seen this in ages. It holds up pretty well and makes us remember how powerfully naturally charismatic she is. Btw, you missed Dr. “Doughie Houser” (the 1st sleazy young lawyer) the one that Phoebe made cry when she was having the tripplets 🙂
