Weed is very legal in New York, especially in New York City. You could literally buy weed from trucks in the street like an ice cream truck with weed. I love this show man, it’s cool how Dexter used to need the police resources to find information about people but now he literally has everything he needs to go wild. This detective is incredible I honestly love her, I wonder what the story is with her listening to that one specific song every time she locks in like that. The new antagonist being a group of serial killers is such a good idea this is going to be great, I think it has been lit for multiple seasons

Not a fan of the detective tbh. They've tried to make her out to be this Sherlock-esque asocial genius with a weird quirk where she has to listen to the beegees to 'focus', when in reality, her deductions could've been made by any semi-decent cop. The whole 'she sees things differently' shtick feels so cringe and forced. It would be one thing if she was like Sherlock and actually had a personality of some sort, or had some likeable qualities. But so far, she's very one-note and doesn't feel likeable at all. She's the only character that I'm not a fan of tbh. The others make sense, but she's just a total drag to watch.

It’s only been 3 episodes I wouldn’t expect them to have fleshed her out too much yet. They need to focus on Dexter and Harrison at least for a little while. Her story is probably just gonna get given to us slower

I absolutely loved this episode and your reaction. I only discovered Dexter in 2016 and binged the whole show in less than a week (alot of sleepless nights). Just imagine the viewers who watched from 2006! I was shocked when it came back in 2021, imagine the feelings of people who actually had not seen the show in 8 plus years! And we thought it was over (horribly, again) only to have it come back 4 years later! But y'all watched the whole thing seamlessly, weekly. Amazing!

I’m thinking it’s just like a trauma type thing or something like that. In new blood, Kurt listens to the same song every time he kills someone. I think one of the killers in the main show did that as well

That was me watching from the beginning! The wait after Rita's death and after Deb catching Dexter in the act were excruciatingly long. This feels like a return to form. Crossing my fingers for more seasons.

We waited so long between the original Dexter series and anything related to it ; and then 3 sequels and prequels in a row 😅. But I am not complaining, just excited to have so much of Dexter’s content to enjoy!

I do feel like she’s portrayed as someone who could be on the spectrum. I think that’s the idea. I like a quirky character. Deb used to swear a lot and some people didn’t like her character because of that. But who knows we might know more about the detective (I can’t remember any names 🙄).

well harrison did know that she was drugged, so it’s fair to assume why she thinks he would notice, it was obvious to the cameras and he was next to her😂
