I enjoy this style of storytelling with seeing the different perspectives of each character and slowly filling in the gaps. I was completely engaged in the story the whole time. It did feel like the tone shifted a little bit at the end with the chase scene but not too much to take me out of it. The very end felt abrupt, but I still really enjoyed this film.

I was very much looking forward to watching this, I had heard good things and hadn't seen it before. I kind of enjoyed it, but feels missing something... I liked the way they told the story, but without that aspect the plot itself feels kind of lacking. I enjoyed the chuckle at the end, though it felt out of place with the rest of the movie. Overall it was ok.. ish 6/10 from me Editing to point out that Alex's dad was in TWD. He played the Dahmer looking saviour who was planning to take Ezekiel to Negan after the Kingdoms crew got taken out at the saviours outpost.

This movie was great, this is really my jam! I love the spooky mystery and yeah every point of view worked as a puzzle piece and had its own style but I think that was the point. I'd love to further explore the lore of this story at some point for sure. I don't think it was meant to be extra clear or fully explained with this one anyway. I think it's important to keep in mind that the whole set up is a story told by a kid claiming it's a true recalling of events but it could be a scary legend told to classmates just as well. The movie could just remain what it is, a fun unique blend of the genres, or it could be extended and the lore deepened with some sequels. But considering just this film, I have to say, Justine's pov at the start game me the Leftovers-vibes and it was the best one for me, simply setting up the eerie mystery. Then the last one, Alex's pov, was certainly the saddest but also the quirkiest. And that's appropriate with him being a kid I'd say. Overall, it was definitely a good time and the cherry on top was just to have so many wonderful actors together!

My favorite movie of 2025 so far. It's just refreshing to get an original idea executed so well as this. I hope you guys eventually check out his first movie Barbarian.

Well...the window glass company is definitely getting some business... Pretty silly at the end, but I liked the vibe through most of it. Plus I'm a sucker for non-linear, multiple-POV storytelling...

This movie is the first legit horror movie that made me jump in a LONG time. The lead actress is best known for her AMAZING work in Ozark as Ruth Langmore!! Praying that you get to that series very soon.

Gilstead

+1! Ozark is amazing

Jordan Tanner

Strongly recommend yall watch Barbarian from the same director. Go in as blind as possible.

Flopsi80

After watching it I am a little bit dissapointed. It's a good movie, don't get me wrong. But I don't understand the hype about it. I liked Barbarian from the same director much more.

Stephanie Bedworth

I think I first saw her in The Americans, which is a very good show.

You guys don’t have liquor stores in England?? Anyway, that was a solid movie. Witchcraft stuff is always entertaining to me and that women’s death was great

Cindy

I don't know why but I found it funny when you kept saying "The Alcohol Store". Most people in US call them Liquor Stores and they only sell alcohol for a reason as are only allowed to sell alcohol as an agent of a State government or a State controlled store so the State can regulate alcohol sales. I live in an alcohol control State.

The director of this is next doing a reboot of Resident Evil which he’s shooting now, and then he wants to do a prequel to this that’s focused on Gladys. Not sure how that’ll go but it’s interesting. I like his filmography so far of being one and done original concepts, but I feel like Barbarian was definitely the better movie in every way.

up until recently, the COUNTY I lived in was DRY!!! You could buy beer but not on Sunday. Then you could buy beer on Sunday but after 12pm. You could get beer or mixed drinks at resturants but you could not but liquor in my county.
