Misery 1990 FULL REACTION

Comments

Jose Dominguez

Almost broke my ankle running to this upload 😀

Stephanie Bedworth

You were right. The movie with James Caan is Alien Nation. It came out a couple of years before this.

Jan T

A great adaptation of one of Stephen King’s best books. Really enjoyed this thanks. He does like to torture his characters who are authors. 🤔

Mony

Rob, I simply must tell you... I'm you number 1 fan. And I love you.🤪

Chris Reed

So happy ya'll finally got around to this one. Appreciate the great reaction! Love this movie Kathy Bates did so amazing in this role

Tyrone Tyrone

I wonder if James Caan would be happy with nobody, not mentioning Sonny Corleone.

Sherry Bandito

Yea! Grabbing a coffee and going to watch!

Michele G

One of my favorite movies !!!! Kathy bates is phenomenal in this and so is James Caan! Incredible acting and barely gets out of bed ! 🤯

MKeiran92

I think this is a genuinely perfect movie, everything comes together brilliantly!

I could tell there was some confusion and because I’ve seen this a zillion times, maybe this can help: The book she picked up at the store was his last Misery book, the one where he killed her. The one in his satchel (the one that had all the profanity) was the first book he had written that was not about Misery. That is why he was so upset to burn it. She made him burn that and rewrite a new novel that would bring Misery back to life.

I know Kathy Bates gets all the attention for this film - she even won the Best Actress Oscar for it - but James Caan doesn't get enough credit as Paul Sheldon. It's incredibly difficult to convincingly portray the pain and horror he goes through here. To me, probably the scariest of all the Stephen King adaptations because it's so real and could actually happen - there really are people out there who are as crazy as Annie.

Rob & Trin React!

ahhh i thought that but yeah we got confused, thank you for clearing it up 💕

Cindy

Jan, you nailed the reason why I cannot watch this movie a 2nd time. I don't mind horror and the occasional gore, but it is torture for me to watch extensive torture and that is really all it is for the majority of the film.

Jan T

I can completely understand how you feel. I think there’s more to this however. There’s a psychological battle of wills underpinning the story. But perhaps that’s more apparent to readers of the novel, and not so clear in just the movie.

Nina

I don't think there's anything wrong with the way she said "I love you" the first time 😂 I mean if I ever were to meet Tom Cruise or Johnny Depp for example. I'd probably say it the exact same way 😂😂😂

Nathan

The moment Cathy Bates character said “I’m your humber 1 fan” i knew a episode of family guy done a version of this movie which unfortunately i watched first 😩😂

MarySoul

I had to pause and come reference the magnificent, original badass babe fatale Lauren Bacall: “You know how to whistle, don’t you, Steve? You just put your lips together and… blow.” 💋

Amber 💙

All I did was read the synopsis and immediately thought of Snuggly Jeff - that's the reason I voted for it. I saw it on Family Guy and wanted to see the real-life reference material 😂

Nathan

Yes! 😂 so glad I’m not the only one!

Amber 💙

Im also glad to know that Im not the only Family Guy fan... I fall asleep to it, frequently communicate in FG references that only me and my husband understand and refer to my favorite episode like a bible verse, Family Guy 16:9 😂😂😂
