Yes, Tom really did hang outside of a plane. And yes, Tom learned to hold his breath for 6 minutes for the underwater sequence. In the movie it's 3 minutes, but he can hold it for six minutes. When you're done watching all 8 movies - you really HAVE to watch some of the making of and behind the scenes stuff. You can see him doing all of that. It's really insane 😍❤️

MI3 is much more personal for Ethan, since his wife got kidnapped..MI4 is the big grandiose nuclear threat sort of thing, and MI5 is back with the more spy-game stuff and a more subdued sort of feeling to it all, less grandstanding big epic stunt stuff, and more on-the-ground-level..It's a very well-balanced Mission Impossible..

Kate Winslet broke Tom's record during the filming of Avatar 2. She held her breath for 7 minutes and 15 seconds. It should be noted, however, that she was only lying still underwater. Nevertheless, a very impressive feat.

Oh yeah, this is the one where everyone was like, "We get it, Tom. You do your own stunts!" Fun movie, though. Also, worst opera house security ever...come on, everyone knows there's no bass flute in the instrumentation of Turandot! (Yes, I looked it up...I'm a nerd...shove me in a locker)
