While I enjoy this movie, it technically doesn't take place in the same timeline as the other Bay movies, as things don't line up properly between the films. For instance, We see at the end of this one Optimus and presumably the other Autobots arrive on Earth in the 80s, whereas in the first movie, they all arive in the 2000s when Bumblebee calls them. It is in its own standalone universe, but I much prefer the look of them in this movie over the Bay ones as they look a lot more how they look in the cartoons and aren't too overly complicated like in the other films.

This movie is a part of the soft Reboot of Transformers it's not connected to the other previous movies, Age of Extinction and The Last Knight are the last part of Michael Bays universe, while Bumblebee is the future of the new one. the next movie that is followed by Bumblebee universe is Rise of The Beast, But i hope you guys finish the very last 2 before Bumblebee, just to get a conclusion on Michael Bays movies.

BTW if you'd like, there's a Really good Transformers show called "Transformers Prime" with 2 seasons, and it's not connected to the movies whatsoever, it's it's own thing, The show has a darker, more serious tone than some previous iterations
