LETS GO! I’m seriously looking forward to the rest of the season. This episode it feels like the writers finally remembered that Mike and Nancy are siblings, they’ve had so few interactions over the span of the show. All of the duos in this episode were really good pairings. Will and Robin have surprisingly good chemistry considering I don’t think they’ve talked to each other before this season. Robin tricking Joyce was a funny scene, Joyce was genuinely scared

I wholeheartedly agree. It has been nice seeing Mike be a brother to both Nancy and Holly this season. I'm really loving that dynamic and he's not so focused on Eleven. Robin was definitely the right person to pair with Will. Their chemistry and her hyperconnectivity, the way she articulates things Will doesnt have words for based on her own unique interests and brain wiring and helps him understand himself🤌🔥

Is it just me or is something up with Steve? He's been a personal favorite since S1 with the bat but he's kinda irking my nerves right now. I feel like he did a 180° and I missed something.

He would love to be alone with Nancy again, like in Season 4. They got along really well back then. But now Jonathan is back and with Nancy. That's why he's frustrated.

I mean, yeah, I thought about that but even as far back as season 2, when he and Nancy were looking for heaters to take to the cabin for Will, he said "it's okay, Nance." He knew he fumbled her and accepted that, and wanted her to be happy. Lots of growth and maturity there. In S4, when she goes in the upside down after him, he had Eddie in his ear, and Nancy had Robin in hers and it almost happens. Then when Jonathan shows up at the end, he's respectful. What happened to all that growth and maturity? He's being an ass to Dustin too. It's very likely that it's exactly what he said - he's been showing concern and Dustin's been poking the bear and he's tired of wasting his breath but we didn't see all that so it still feels unnatural and unsettling.

I have a half-formed theory but won't share until they've seen all 4 episodes but before the Christmas drop. Im scared to go in the spoiler room on discord to share it because I kind of don't want to figure it all out and just let it be a mystery. Just me with my little hunches like Robin 😅

He probably misses his good friend Dustin too. Dustin has changed as well, since Eddie died in his arms. Dustin's mood is very negative at the moment. It seems both things are coming together. Robin has probably been spending more time with her new love. Steve didn't have anyone.

you're right, 100%. Losing someone in any way can be enough to change any one, depending on the relationship and Dustin really did look up to and admire Eddie. Thanks for pointing that out, makes a lot of sense.

I had the reverse impression. Dustin has been insulting Steve, non-stop. And Steve is just at his wit's end with him. Though I love Dustin - and understand why he's acting out... Dustin has been the provoker, in my eyes. Maybe Dustin is pushing Steve away to avoid the pain of losing someone else like Eddie. I don't know. But I really hope that they can recapture their bromance in Part 2. Because Steve & Dustin have such a special bond. On the 'triangle' front... Jonathan & Nancy's problems are all on Jonathan & Nancy. As well meaning as Steve meant it... I did agree with Jonathan that Nancy doesn't want flowers, she wants her sister back. But otherwise, Steve was right... if Jonathan & Nancy were truly happy, then there's no reason for either to be focused on Steve. Personally, I hope when all is said & done...Nancy goes off to school to focus on herself, without either one of the guys.
