I admit to a total Steve bias... but I don't blame him for the dam finally bursting with Dustin. Since 5x01, Dustin has been belittling Steve... way more than usual... constantly finding a variety of ways to call him dumb. He just does it in ways that folks seem to not nofice as much. He's definitely been taking a snide tone with Steve. I said somewhere in Part 1 that Dustin is probably pushing people away... particularly Steve... to avoid the pain of losing someone like Eddie again. Hopefully by venting all of their hurt... it'll be the step towards healing. Awful, but cathartic. ~ I think it's good for these pairs to vent about their relationships now instead of waiting until it's over. If they don't make it out, then they would never have another chance. That's why emotional beats are often placed in the middle of dangerous missions. Say what you need to, get your relationships in a healthier place... because that moment might be your last opportunity. (Not that I think any of the Mains here will actually die... this is emulating the '80s. It's way more Goonies than Game of Thrones.)

And... would it have killed Dustin, Steve, Nancy, and Jonathan to leave a note at the church for Hopper & El?! I mean... carve it into a pew... or Dustin did have a pen, seeing how he drew that circle on the map. Just a... "Gone to Lab, brb."
