Lethal Weapon 1987 FULL REACTION

Comments

Octavia

Oh you beauties!! Thank you! This is one of those rare franchises where all 4 are very good, enjoyable movies. I would even say that 'Lethal Weapon 2' is better than this first one. And this one is a classic. Riggs & Murtaugh... we're never too old for them.

Kim Magee

love these movies

Kim Magee

It was even talk of them doing another one

Kim Magee

still says it's in the works so maybe it's going to happen too

ShelleyAnn

I used to watch these movies with my dad! 4 was the best. The duo of Danny glover and Mel Gibson is fantastic.

Octavia

For Lethal Weapon 1 - 4... see Mel & Danny continue to shine. For Lethal Weapon 5 - 7... see "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" put their spin on it. 😉

Kim Magee

yeah I have to agree that I think four is my favourite too

Kim Magee

I will agree that lethal weapon is better than die hard

Kim Magee

lethal weapon 4 is my favourite then I think two, one and three, But I haven't watched them for so long. I'm not 100% sure. I know I love four

Kim Magee

And from everything I'm reading they are working on a new one

Scarlett Monrow

0:37:10 - pretty sure it's the first time cell phone usage was shown in the screen. First cell phone call!

Scarlett Monrow

1st place: movie 2 and 4 (too hard to pick which one) 2nd place: movie 1 3rd place movie 3

Nina

Mel Gibson was the most beautiful man in the 80s... 😍😍

Octavia

One of the reasons this whole LW franchise stays so consistently good is that all 4 movies are directed by Richard Donner. (Who also directed 'Superman the Movie' in 1978, 'Goonies', 'Scrooged' and... more Mel in 'Maverick' and 'Conspiracy Theory'.)

Nina

All 4 of them are fantastic. Seen them at least 50 times so far. Riggs and Murtaugh are my favorite duo of all time ❤ Insane chemistry.

Octavia

For me... 'Lethal Weapon' is even more of a Christmas movie than 'Die Hard'. It not only begins and ends with Christmas songs... it's saturated with Christmas lights and decorations. BUT... more than that though... is the theme of goodwill and family. The holidays also tend to amplify loss and aloneness in people... so Riggs' pain is even more acute than before. But the Murtaughs open their home to him. And by the end he has a found family, he's not so terribly alone at Christmas. Could it take place at any time? Sure. But it's so much more poignant because it is Christmas-time. When people are more likely to share themselves. Which makes Christmas an integral part of the story. If you ask me anyway.

Better than die hard?.... your having a laugh folk's lol 😂 Imma tell John yall said that

AnGeLuS

All four Lethal Weapon movies are pure entertainment. For me, it's the mother of the buddy cop genre.

Kim Magee

yep, better than die hard

Kim Magee

for starters, Bruce Willis is okay to look at but he ain't no. Mel Gibson

Octavia

Co-cheese... that's awesome... I love it! lol. "Cochise" was a famous American Indian Apache Chief... a legendary warrior. Calling another character 'Cochise' can be a short-hand compliment, like here. Now that you're finishing up the Mission Impossible saga this month... maybe the monthly franchise installment can continue with 'Lethal Weapon' 2 - 4. You won't regret it!

Marinda

Some good old fashioned fun. The other ones are great too. Can't wait

Nina

They actually didn't know anything about the shipment...so they can torture them and Rianne all they want, they can't tell them anything.

Nina

my god...Riggs is such a badass 😍😍😍😍

Cindy

Just my opinion but I think they just get better and better and they up the humor and add characters.

Cindy

Since Die Hard has been mentioned, Rob you said the asian torturer looked familiar. He was also in Die Hard. He was the criminal that stole a candy bar in the lobby of Nakatomi Tower

Octavia

The score is so iconic. With the distinctive saxophone jazz riffs played for Roger... and the guitar riffs played for Riggs.

Ashgar77

The Buddy Cop Movie. It's a great series, Mel and Danny have great chemistry. Even more in the sequels.

Amber 💙

86' - it's familiar but I can't recall ever intentionally watching this. It might have been on at my grandma's house or something. I geeked when Trin got excited about Eric Clapton 🎸🐐

Lucinda Michel

Rob - Cochise was a fierce and brilliant warrior / leader of the Chiricahua Apache tribe in Arizona and New Mexico who gave the US Army a run for their money in the mid to late 19th century.
