I think that Marielle reacted like many of the newbies do. It's only been like 24 hours-ish. It's a lot to absorb. To newcomers... the residents seem settled in & accepting. So it's surreal. Seeing what appears as calm... in the face of an unbelievably freaky situation. Not realizing that they all go thru these stages of questions and attempts... that so far have gone nowhere. Takes awhile to adapt to that. I'm pretty sure that early on, Jade and Jim were both also peeved that folks 'seemed' complacent. I really don't think Marielle was better with Kristi being upset. It's that Kristi being so upset made everything else fall away.

Just like Rob... everytime someone gives a motivational speech about group survival... all I hear is "Live together, Die alone."

Another 2 incredible episodes of one of my new favorite TV shows. Seriously the mystery is so damn good and the characters are great. The new grandma really interests me too, she keeps popping up in scenes but saying very little. Like you were saying, the actor who plays Victor is amazing. Seeing him talk to Ethan is literally like two kids talking to each other. Maybe Jade and the bus driver will develop a relationship or friendship of some kind.

Haven't seen ep 4 yet, so this could be a useless comment, but I noticed the guy from the bus, the one who had a dream about he water, he has a crow on his t-shirt... Gotta be some kind of symbolism in that surely. Loving the show though! I watched s1 when it came out, but haven't caught up with any other seasons. No idea why I didn't!

also, Kate on last had that little aeroplane from the boyfriend. she accidentally got killed and Sarah had the little trinket from her brother who she accidentally killed

When you rewatch... you'll see Donna right beside Jim when the voice came over the radio. 22 of the bus passengers didn't survive. Donna was saying that between those they kept in the diner & those killed out in the streets... 22 out of 25 were accounted for. Kelly in the woods would make 23. A whole bunch of those 25 passengers were killed. Brick under the house, old couple on bus, Kelly & Brian in the bar... and there was a group on the streets that Fatima couldn't save. (Brian's body would be one of the dead bodies in the street. They just didn't show them all.)
