True Lies 1994 FULL REACTION

This movie and Last Action Hero from 1993 were major highlights starring Schwarzenegger back then.

Jenny Lee Villanueva

Hope for more Schwarzenegger like End of Days, 6th Day, Conan, Last Action Hero...

Venom

All I have to say is . . . "You're Fired." One of my favorite Arnold movies!

Haven't seen this movie since middle school. I only remembered two scenes...give you two guesses which ones... That bridge is actually the Keys Highway. At the time, they were rebuilding it, so they allowed James Cameron (and other filmmakers) to blow up the old one. It appeared in a number of films in the late 80s/early 90s.

What an absolute blast... Thank you for picking it! This movie is top tier fun... an action spy comedy... and it embraces it. Sometimes, movies today take themselves way too seriously. And you really can't go wrong with a James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger combo. When filming... Jamie Lee Curtis was so good that they upped her role.... and Arnold approved her getting above the Title billing, along with him. (Which it was in his contract that he gets sole, above the title billing.) Easily one of Arnold's best movies... and the best on-screen chemistry he's ever had.

Scarlett Monrow

One of the best comedy action movies of the 90s!

Octavia

James Cameron adapted the screenplay based on the French film, 'La Totale!' (1991). I believe that he & Arnold were looking to work together again... and Arnold suggested that Cameron watch that movie. 'True Lies' follows the French film pretty closely. And I've never enjoyed Tom Arnold as much as in this... he's just the right amount of funny / obnoxious / loyal sidekick.

Octavia

Fun fact: All James Cameron movie titles begin with T or A. Terminator, True Lies, Titanic, The Abyss, Aliens, Avatar.

It's an action comedy so it is ok if it is predictable... not much about it was supposed to be realistic. I loved this movie when it first came out but not many people have even heard of it, so glad you did the reaction, I haven't seen this movie in many many years.

pls go the accountant next

Fun Fact: Jamie really did dangle from that helicopter. I read she refused to let a stunt double do it and insisted on doing it herself, although she was fully secured to the copter.

If you had a lot of fun with this I have to highly recommend you consider Red (2010) It was also a lot of fun with a stellar cast. Also if it helps to get you to watch it, it is billed as a DC movie. I know you like DC.

This was one of our family favorites growing up. It’s so much fun !! We watched it every time it came on tv. Jamie’s dancing scene always cracks me up. She’s so awesome in this !! Great pick y’all!! Thank you !!!

Ben

Love you guys ❤️

Marinda

Just so much fun. I love that they just commit to the tropes and the cheese and just don't care. JUst full on entertainment.

Lucinda Michel

If you like action comedy with Arnold Schwarzenegger, you should consider Kindergarten Cop. And secondly - you guys should really consider watching Buffy. I know you wanted to avoid long time commitments, buts it’s AMAZING. And Eliza Dushku is fantastic in it.

oh oh, now do Get Smart! another great spy comedy
