As great as it is, I'm not entirely sure how " must watch " these are in term's of the wider mcu timeline so it's perfectly fine if they skip them , mind you I'm not sure they actually needed to watch ironheart or wonder man tbh lol 😂 I Don't mind at all though as everything marvel is pretty good imo 🤙

X-men 97 while not really “must watch” for the MCU, is so good that it’s worth watching anyway if you enjoy marvel or X-men. Rob and trins only exposure I know of to the X-men is the fox films which isn’t that great lol. As for ironheart it probably is fairly important to watch due to the team being set up that she’s supposed to be part of. I personally really enjoyed Wonderman but I’m not sure how relevant he’ll be in the future, hopefully somewhat.

I would definitely agree with you about 97 lol Massive X-Men fan here lol and I get it with ironheart , but think wonder man could definitely be a watch themself series as I doubt that'll have any impact in future considering the recent news lol but I'm just speculating really, couldn't get into the show personally too but that's my own tastes there lol

Thank you for Field of Dreams. I hope you like it. I love it. I don't usually gravitate toward the type of comedy like Dodgeball, but strangely I do enjoy that movie. I like the actors, the characters and just the wild premise of Dodgeball. I haven't played Dodgeball since it was a physical education requirement in high school.

I understand what you mean. There have been several movies I never watched as the premise just wasn't what I would normally prefer. Luckily I found them with Rob & Trin to be enjoyable and engrossing even to the point of buying them. I am not a fan of Ben Affleck but I found The Accountant was excellent so bought it the next day. Thankfully I am a person that can watch a film many times over if I really, really like it.

Me, back in the 90s and early 2000s, I had friends who would meet once a week for dinner and a movie. Unfortunately, we all lost our jobs, they found jobs down in Austin, and I moved to far north Texas to go to nursing school. After that we met infrequently. I never really liked going to the theater alone, and with the cost of movie tickets rising, and then later the lock downs, I have practically stopped going to the theater. So now, I either stream shows or movies,or now more than anything I watch Rob and Trin's reactions to get my entertainment mainly because they make it like i am watching a show or movie with my old friends again.

The show has the worst writing of any other marvel show besides Secret Invasion - race has nothing to do with it. The black community deserves better in general and this show did them a disservice. Quit trying to start racial arguments, there’s no reason for it here.

Slightly disappointed 42 didn't make it. Great (true) story, great actors, and just all around great movie. But the picks are fire as usual! Not sure how two Sandler movies managed get in there. Love the guy, but can only take so much of him.

Great line up! Field of Dreams is excellent. Ford v Ferrari is decent. Dodgeball and The Longest Yard are dumb, fun comedies. So I'm looking forward to the line up this time! Not the BEST movies of all time, but a real solid group. Been thinking about watching Dead City. So I watched The Walking Dead until I think like a season after Negan took a baseball bat to half the cast. And I watched Fear until they killed off half that cast. i want to say...season 3? I think I watched until season 4 of Fear. So I know Negan and Maggie, but I haven't seen most of the seasons in between. I'm not sure if I'll be lost. I might just start the first episode and see what happens. If anyone has any insight on if I'm missing much and shouldn't try to watch without the other seasons, let me know! Thanks!

No response or logical argument from anyone, just a quick racial comparison to stir drama…lol got ya. Rob and Trin don’t deserve that, and here’s some examples of where you’re incorrect since you want to throw false statements out there: -Wonder-Man has a black lead and is one of the best Disney/Marvel series in some time. His family members in the show are also excellent and bring life to the Williams family. Good writing, good show. Nothing about race. It only enhances the story. They cancelled this show the other day which is insane and completely uncalled for. -Nick Fury was done dirty in Secret Invasion, along with his wife in the show. No excuses, bad writing. Nothing to do with Samuel Jackson, but him being in the show should’ve been an enhancement and it wasn’t. The show was abysmal. -Marvel cancelled Blade. No idea why but this is because they don’t have good enough writers to properly adapt him for some reason. Bad writing, bad film or NO film. Blade is one of my favorite characters and doesn’t deserve the shelf like this. Nothing about race. -(Without spoiling) Ironheart has about one redeemable quality - the story between the main character and her parents. Everything else in the show is abysmal 😂 She steals, lies, and has no care for anyone but herself because SHE HAS BAD WRITING. Nothing to do with her race. She has a lot of potential to be an inspiring hero for people to look up to but instead she compares herself to everyone in an effort to put them down and that’s not what a hero does. She even lets a man die in the series and they move on like nothing happened 😂 If she wasn’t portrayed as a hero, then that’s one thing - but she is. You can’t advertise a hero but show us a villain and expect us to not notice. There’s a reason the show was on the shelf and released quietly. My family is 100% caucasian, but one of the most talked about superhero in our household is Luke Cage. My entire family fell in love with the authentic realness of the black community in that show and how different it is from our own. That’s what makes him special - good writing. Nothing about his race, but proper culture portrayal. If you’re not going to have a logical discussion about your opinion, then don’t randomly blast negativity on their channel. This should be something we can discuss in a civil manner, not spreading hate. I hope you understand.

Causes a mission to go bad, and leaves a man behind, flying away so that he dies a painful death. Instantly compares herself to two of the smartest and richest people alive when the show begins, to not prove it at all seconds later when she’s stealing stuff and flaunting her money because it’s the only way she can build her suits. She’s so smart yet she won’t stay in college and get a degree to legally fund her projects but she justifies committing crime to accomplish her dreams. Bad writing. Resurrects her dead best friend, and justifies it after the dead characters brother finds out about it and is disgusted “Hey black people”. Bad and STUPID writing Anythony Ramos was not a good choice to play The Hood/Tony Robbins as he’s not the greatest actor and the character felt very thin Mephisto in the show was poorly written and is almost made a mockery of when he is not supposed to be There’s a scene where she’s running down a street with a vehicle chasing her, and instead of going down any alley to her right or left, she runs in a straight line 😭😂 one of the goofiest scenes I’ve seen from Marvel The strong lesbian women can be stopped with a 2 lb trash can thrown at them The MAIN CHARACTER who’s so smart, sells her soul to the devil, joins a gang, and commits crimes but she’s oppressed and can’t make money 😭😂 Goes to a character like Jed that’s trying to turn his life around and gets him to commit crimes too 😂 That’s only scratching the surface. Your turn 😋

So it's less bad writing and more 1. you don't understand the character. 2. You came in expecting to see a stark type character when instead you got the exact opposite. That is a you problem, not a writing problem. Did you even watch BP2? The girl was an ass throughout the whole movie. Riri williams is not a cut and dry hero. This show is written too express how the character has genius level intelligence like tony but growing up in impoverished conditions has warped her reality to where she thinks money will solve all her issues. She continuously makes questionable borderline immoral choices because she's had to her whole life. She's watched people rob, sell drugs, and kill just to get by right in her neighborhood. Unlike tony who grew up a billionaire and wasn't knocked off his arrogant high horse until the battle of new York. The show is written well and the majority of the nerd black community loved it. Those that don't understand the African American experience and aren't open to understand the struggles of impoverished people seem to be the ones not accepting of it. Oh and racist... those guys hate it too. 👍🏽

SHE WAS ADVERTISED AS A HERO, did you not see the message I sent? If that’s part of her character that’s one thing, but the show advertised her as a hero when she’s clearly not. That’s the issue I have - bad writing. I never read her comics and that’s why I decided to give the show a shot. You still have yet to give me a single example that supports your claims besides “you just don’t understand the character.” If she was written properly, there wouldn’t be confusion for anyone. I also proved to you there’s no racism in my judgement at all, but you again bring it up to spread more drama. You also just gave me a crapload of reasons why I shouldn’t like the character (stealing, lying, drugging, etc.) She never learns from her mistakes, and she actually gets worse by the time the shows over 😂 people enjoy the show because it’s the first in a while to have predominantly a black cast, not because the shows actually good. Keep coping though lol am I supposed to watch this show and root for all the bad shit theyre doing? Culture or not, bad people doing bad shit is bad. Idc if it checks your boxes or not. And no, less than a 50% audience score on rotten tomatoes does not mean “the majority of the black and nerd community loved it.” Look up any videos online of the show and you’ll see that’s not the case. Many black people are even openly stating how much they DO NOT like the show and its portrayal of the black community. You’re just repeating what others say online dude 😂

I've seen the original The Longest Yard (1974) starring Burt Reynolds. I'm looking forward to seeing this remake. I'm gonna assume it's less edgy... more dumb fun comedy.

Not what I said. Read the thread and you’ll see multiple reasons why the show in general was poorly written. We have a broad spectrum of movies and projects that Marvel/Disney has put out and this show had some of the cheapest/weak decisions made for it than most other projects to date. Why do you think it was shelved for so long? Because people loved it and it was groundbreaking right? No. Because it was bad. It also got barely any marketing at all, with the recent Wonder-Man (Black led show) had 2-3 times as much. It was also better show.
