This show is very similar to Battlestar Galactica in that Severance asks What Makes me..me? Battlestar Galactica asks what makes me human or Cylon?

I know maybe the name was a mistake. But in the picture, that wasn't Ms. Coble. That's Ms. Casey, the Wellness Specialist. Ms. Coble said Ms. Casey was a part-time Innie.

I was half-expecting his wife to turn out to be Alexa and that he was hallucinating her as part of his severance glitching. The whole episode I was trying to rack my brain if she had conversed with anyone else (he meant her outside his sister's house, he introduced her to Petey's daughter but they never spoke to each other, etc). Happy I'm wrong, because I like it being Casey better (the pass in the break room corridor was obviously fore-shadowing).

Absolutely loving watching this with you both. Haven't re-watched it since it first came out. I'm picking up on multiple things that I missed the first time around. We did get told about Mark's wife passing away in the first episode btw, the car crash detail came an episode or two or later.

The Miss Casey reveal is one of the best television reveals of all time to be honest. The clues were there all along and a lot of Miss Cobel/ Mrs Selvig's behaviour towards Mark makes so much sense. Like her taking the candle that Miss Casey then had in the "unplanned wellness session" to see If the smell of the candle in combination with him sitting across from his wife would somehow trigger the chip to fail or have memories bleed through.. her choices of words here and there sometimes, just brilliant. And imagine how horrible your existence must be in regard to Gabriella (the rich lady) or more like her innie : Your whole existence just consists of the few hours before your birth and then the hours during your birth where you experience some of the worst pain imaginable to then have your new born child ripped away from you immediately after to never see it again and that's your last memory until the next time the same thing happens. Very great paralell they drew with Dylan and his son as well. Truly terrible Great reaction ! You both cracked me up😂

Darn you, R&T! I swore to myself that I wouldn't watch this show until it finished. Because there were 3 years between S1 & S2... and now 2 years between S2 & the future S3. But I am weak... and just couldn't resist another boost of R&T reaction crack. Wow though. Mark opts for severance so that for 8 hours of the day... he doesn't have to feel the continued pain & grief from his wife's death. Then the ultimate mindfuck... the only place he can actually learn she's alive and see her... he has no memory of her or any of it. Did they do it as a twisted experiment to see if 'love' could overcome severance? Because clearly it can't. Now that scene where Mark & Miss Casey had to squeeze past each other... on the way to & from the Break Room... takes on a whole other level of 'oh my god'.
