So, just because you guys seemed to be a bit confused by the ending scene: Brenner says to Eleven, "You didn't think it would be that easy, did you?", meaning that what they've done so far is not enough for her to get her powers back; they've only just begun. The moment with her throwing the guards off her with her powers was just a brief moment where she was able to bring them to the surface. And that moment showed Eleven that what she's doing here with Brenner IS actually working and has the potential to bring her powers back in full, so she goes back with him. Also, in the episode that everyone just loves to hate on (the one with Eight), we were told by the former employee of Hawkins Lab that Brenner was still alive. And yet no one seems to remember that.....lol

Yes! I was just going to say that... the Lab tech guy, that El & Eight went to punish in S2, told them that Brenner was alive. Plus, there's the timeless cinematic rule... if you don't see the body, then they ain't dead.

Rob, I hope you feel better soon! I've been sick all week so this was such a treat! This is a "building" episode. This is similar to a LOST episode in that everything will come together but right now they're just giving us some puzzle pieces.

Wendy Sparks

I feel like Sam (Dr. Owens) wouldn't team up with Brenner if it wasn't such a necessary evil. If the fate of everything didn't hang in the balance. Brenner's the only one who can immerse El in the memories that are blocking her. Personally, I actually prefer El with a shaved head. She seems more badass, more Eleven-y, that way. Especially connecting now-Eleven with then-Eleven. (Though Millie Bobby Brown did not shave her head this time. They're using a skull cap wig. The advancement of that technique is really impressive.)

Anthony Ancona

Feel better soon Rob. Great reaction by both of you. I don't have much to add, but I did see that the writers did an interview September 12th, they were saying season 5 should come out late 2023 or sometime in 2024. My money is on Spring 2024 around May when summer break for school hits. So they can launch the summer season with a bang. If it's 2023, I would think October for Halloween time. They can't wait too long as the actors are getting up in age. Joe Keery (Steve) is 30 years old. All be it he looks good at 30. Just my thoughts. Again great job. Every day I eagerly await to get a notification that Rob and Trin released a reaction!

Melissa Williams

So with just 4 episodes left in this and six in lost. What are you going to do next?

we want to do Better Call Saul and start doing some movies (had a lot of requests for some movies) and would be good to do some polls with a quicker turn around for you patrons 💖

I think for me this was the most boring episode of the season. Probably the 2nd most boring episode of the series. I literally didn't even remember most of what happened this episode on my 2nd rewatch of season 4. you guys should definitely think about doing Dollhouse since you watched firefly. Holy cow is that a good series and they completed it in 2 seasons. Joss whedon is so good at writing tv shows.

Mark Bigwood

I think this is a great time to watch the last stinger that you skipped for the season 2 finale.

Yep. I don't mind Brenner being alive at all. As mentoined above, we could have predicted that. I think he is brought back into the story with a good purpose and I like the way he will be utilized. Just wish they'd given him a bigger scar or some larger disability after meeting that Demo ;)

Rob - I think I just orgasmed a bit (forgive me). Better Call Saul (after it had ended) has become my no1 series, topping Breaking Bad I think...so there is big excitement here :)

Agreed! I feel like only getting one long (but still relatively small) cut down the face after being attacked by a demogorgon is weak lol He should've been disfigured or something, at least. Or have some disability, like you said. But hey, maybe all the prosthetic/practical money had to go to Vecna and so none was left over for Papa 😂

Anaya Imari

So towards the end, Papa was telling El it’s not gonna be that easy to get her powers back. El hitting him and running away, that all was real and in present time. BUT OMG CAN’T WAIT FOR MORE REACTIONS 😄😄

Anaya Imari

Also, I love how you brought up Eddie always being in that same damn place! FACTS, he’s too good of a character 😂give the dude more screenplay! &’ I want Steve to find love already 🥺

Wendy Sparks

Something somewhere would make more sense if you watched the S3 mid credits scene.
