Pirates Of The Caribbean At World's End FULL REACTION

Disney: 'we are a family friendly movie company' Also Disney: 'hey let's hang a child in the very first scene'

Count Monte-Cristo

I'll say that: there are two more movies, and they are more Jack Sparrow movies. These first three were Elizabeth and Will's stories. I like Jack, but as I said earlier, I prefer Barbosa, and I was invested in Will's rescue of his father more than any other storyline. Are other movies worth trying? I say yes. I personally will watch other Pirates movies with more pleasure than some "serious" movies. 😄

Josh B.

By the way Sao Fang is played by Chow Yuen-Fat in this movie, you are thinking about Ken Watanabe who was in Inception and Batman, also Barbosa saw Sao Fang looking at Elizabeth when he mentioned having Calypso in human form, such a great way to end a trilogy but a bittersweet ending for Will and Elizabeth but at least they had a kid before he left, I hope you do the next two pirate movies they aren't as good as the trilogy but still a really fun universe to explore, what shenanigans shall Captain Jack Sparrow get up to in search for the Fountain of Youth?

Count Monte-Cristo

And Stellan Skarsgrd is not just some weird scientist in Marvel movies; He's a brilliant actor, very talented, and has many good movies and Tv shows. Chernobil and Andor are among them.

Also the reason why Beckett didn't fire back in the end is because it wasn't about the battle. This whole thing was one big chess game and he had anticipated everything. Even when the pirates at the start sang the song which would lead to the court convening when he said 'finally'. Every piece moved as he wanted them to. But losing the Dutchman completeely flipped the board and he lost that game of chess, so when he froze he knew it was checkmate. Oh and there's also a deleted scene which hey unfortunetely didn't put in the film but it's on youtube, when Jack and Beckett are talking and making a deal, it's revealed the reason Jack was branded a pirate by Beckett was because Jack was hired to escort Beckett's cargo years ago, but the cargo was a slaveship, Jack freed those slaves and cost Beckett his status, so Beckett sunk his ship and branded him a pirate. The ship Beckett sunk Jack made a deal with Jones to bring back from the sea, and would become the Black Pearl. Just thought I'd drop that lore.

Happy you guys enjoyed this trilogy!!! It’s one of my favorites to watch on repeat. If I had to choose a favorite installment, I would say this one is my favorite. So many funny, quick jokes and lines of dialogue. I love the opening with the little boy singing, then they all start to sing,it is so bleak, yet beautiful somehow. Also, the speech Elizabeth gives right before the final battle always brings a tear to my eye. I was surprised you guys didn’t recognize Keith Richards playing Captain Teague aka Jack’s dad. The character of Jack Sparrow was primarily based on Keith Richards, so they got him to do a cameo as Jack’s dad. As much as I love this trilogy, I am not a fan of the last 2, but maybe a rewatch with you guys will change my mind. Tom Hollander plays Lord Cutler Beckett, he plays a great bad guy. You guys should check out the movie Hanna (2011) & the limited series The Night Manager (2016) a couple of my favorite performances by Tom Hollander, and yes he is on the shorter side, standing at 5 foot 5 inches tall.

Yay finished John wick 4 today 😀

Rob n' Trin didn't recognise Keith Richards when he strolled in as the Pirate King lol

He’s not the pirate king he’s the keeper of the code. But yea it’s funny they brought him in because when Depp was asked about the English accent he had, he said he tried to think of a drunk Keith Richards. So they thought, ‘hey what if we made him his dad’

I absolutely love the fact you both acknowledge how amazing the music is for these movies. The first 3 movies in this series are probably one of my favourite trilogies of all time (after Lord of the Rings and The Dark Knight trilogy)

Jared Harms

Not sure if you caught it, or if anyone commented it, but in the beginning with the hanging, the kid was singing a song that was about the capture of Calypso, which is pretty nice foreshadowing.

Paul Smith

I think I know your tastes well enough to say that you’ll enjoy #4 and #5. I liked 4 better but the characters still make them both worth watching.

Superpotroast

The POTC trilogy is, I feel, one of those trilogies that can stand the test of time..Four and Five are definitely not as good as the trilogy, but they have some fun moments, even though Jack seems to be much better as a side character rather than the main character..Worth checking them out, even though I have a major couple of gripes with 5, the music makes them worthwhile.. The 'At World's End' theme is one of my favorites from Hans Zimmer and one of my favorite themes of all time, Hans Zimmer at his best..

Laura Van der Huck

I truly think you'll enjoy the next movies, like the others are saying they will probably not be as epic as this 3rd one but for me they're entertaining enough and they keep the essence of the Pirates of the Caribbean universe very well, maybe more the next one than the 5th but both are good nonetheless. I really hope you watch them, if you do I'll be looking forward to your reaction! Take care Rob and Trin!

Vonnie Stewart

Hand me your british/euro cards: keith richards of Rolling Stones was jack sparrows daddy because johnny depp has said he based the character on him anyway. But my american chicago self knew that??? SHAAAAAME

I love that all the pirates are happy at the end that Will became captain of The Flying Dutchman. Cuz he's a good man!

Ninaofthe90s

could you make a streamable version for this one as well?? 🥴

Hazel Angus

That moment with the Western Standoff, tiny spit of land and 3 vs. 3... I wonder if they had a quick way to reset that, for multiple takes? Otherwise it could take a while!

Illia Kamenetskyi

Hope you'll consider watching next two movies as well. Sure, they are not on the same level as the trilogy. But it's in similar situation as LotR and Hobbit. Yes, Hobbit not as good as LotR but still good. Same here. Other two movies are worth the watch and have some laughs.

Hazel Angus

I loved Jack making Will stab the heart. A truly selfless, truly noble and heroic act. We all know how much Jack wanted it for himself, he was chasing it for two films, and we also know how piratey he is. He has an elastic relationship with morality, yet he still chose to save Will. I think Jack would have done it anyway, but the pep talk from Captain Teague about living with yourself forever was interesting. It certainly could have pushed those thoughts to the front of Jack's mind.
