the bird in the fireplace represented Amina, the bird Alica and Nick brought back to health. it symbolizes her moms vision and she said she's trying because she's trying to keep it alive!

that scene in the basement always gets me. alexa and alycia are so talented and this is actually one of my fav ftwd episodes. seeing the interaction between the two and the growth throughout the episode is just so beautiful. i feel the same about the beth and daryl episode in the walking dead.

People Gave Up On This Show During Season 4 Which In My Opionon Is A Huge Loss.

Great. This was the episode I was waiting to see with you guys. This is my favorite episode of the entire show. Still some good ones coming, but this is my absolute favorite. The dialog, the acting, the internal conflict for Alicia, were awesome. I really empathized with her. The death of her brother really affected me, so the death of this little girl was not too crazy for me. But like Alicia, I too, came around and made peace with that character. Just a great episode.
