Mine mine mine mine! Haha I love this movie! I was always more of Disney kid than Pixar, but I have a lot of fond memories of Finding Nemo (watched it all the time in school). This was a fun and very cute rewatch. I’ve always loved the message of allowing your kids the space and independence they need to take care of themselves, even though they’ll always still need their parents. There were definitely a lot of famous voices here, but Willem Dafoe never disappoints.

Finding Nemo may be my favorite Pixar film, the soundtrack especially. Also, to help with an American stereotype the turtles were absolutely a Californian surfer type reference

So fun fact... Lost season 1 shannon tries to translate the French on Danielle's papers... she said that the little boy of her boyfriend was obsessed with the fish movie and it was dubbed in French and she ends up singing the song that plays at the end... it was the song that you missed at the end credits. Lol just so you know.

Oh I'm so pumped for this! I LOVED your reaction to UP and was so excited for more reactions to the animation genre of films, and Finding Nemo & UP are both such Pixar classics! And I'm actually really excited for one day, some more adult type animated films to make it to the top polls bc animation isn't just a kid genre and there's a ton of animated films & shows that have more mature themes and are for an adult audience. Disney & Pixar are mostly aimed at kids, though traditional Pixar had a reputation for also connecting with adult audiences, especially digging into the emotional truths & our psychology, but animation is a much broader genre than those two companies & can address many different subjects & come in many beautiful styles beyond the typical Disney & Pixar styles. But anyway, off to watch this reaction! Finding Nemo is such a well told story that it's made it into some film classes as an example of how to tell stories well, how to structure stories well.

My turtles got named Crush and Squirt, love at Disney they have turtle talk with crush too, kids are picked to ask questions and talk to crush, it's so well done, also on the Disney dream you have similar thing at dinner

Ellen Degeneres' performance as Dory is probably one of the best animated voice performances - right up there with Robin Williams' Genie and Eddy Murphy's Donkey - equal parts hilarious and heart-breaking. BTW, Nigel the pelican was voiced by Geoffrey Rush.

I didn't know until today that Crush was voiced by the director & co-writer of this movie. Bruce the shark was also the name Spielberg gave to the animatronic shark in Jaws lol

My nick name is Dori and I am a nurse. I used to float to the pediatric unit and I cannot tell you how many times a child asked me "like the movie?" after I'd introduce myself...lol. Also, my co-workers would tease me if I forgot ANYTHING! Ha-ha.

Orca have 3 types resident orca stink to harbours etc and mainly eat fish like salmon, transients eat mammals and squid, same as offshore orca who travel open ocean, there are many videos of people kayaking right next to Orca pods very cool videos on YouTube

The largest orca swims up and touches her feet with his nose/mouth, and the woman has to stop as he blocks her path at one stage, yet she swims along not phased by 5 orca in the water with her

Great movie and reaction! I do prefer Finding Dory though. As a child I didn’t love this movie as much as the other kids but now as an adult I like it better. But Finding Dory really gets me in the feels.

Glad y'all ended up enjoying it, even though you seem a bit nervous about the animated movies! They're (almost) all so good, though, and most are meant for families,not just kids, so there's plenty of things in there for all ages. Most of my favorite movies (besides LotR, Harry Potter, etc.) are animated! I hope yall will do Finding Dory soon!
