Yay, another FPI on Purpleport! (Patreon)

Woke up this morning to one of those nice emails from Purpleport informing me that one of my images was added to their illustrious Front Page collection.

It is the first FPI from this autumn’s shoots in Cyprus.

It features Lana and Relia nude at White Stones in an iconic pose, which really stands out. Members in the official patron and higher tiers may recall that I chose this one as the leading image in a post with ten art nude duo photos at White Stones five days ago. It stood out for me and it clearly stood out for those who make the FPI decisions on Purpleport (known as the “FPI elves”).

Although I usually allow models to pose freely, on this occasion I’d like to take credit for the models pose.

Lana and Relia were initially posing both lying down - which I found rather uninteresting so I suggested to the, that one of them should stand. I then asked Lana to put her hand in front of her face - which is something she does often to protect her eyes but also adds style. I then asked Relia to adopt an indifferent pose and expression. It clearly worked at many levels.

The framing was helped by using my RF24-105mm zoom, which allowed me to compose freely. I wanted lamas shadow in the frame and I also wanted the rocks and the sea.

The camera settings are included in the last photo - the unedited version of the photo - for the benefit of those interested in photography technique. You’ll also note the fisherman in the background, who was removed in the retouched photo.

So there you have the story behind this photo, which happens to be the 107th FPI that I’m tagged in.
