Back to black and nude - Aphrodita (Patreon)

Probably my favourite set from my latest shoot with Aphrodita, three weeks ago, starting with a sexy black lingerie set, then topless and fully nude, in just her black and silver shiny heels.

For this set I used a stool which offers a nice and simpler alternative to the chesterfield chaise lounge. Here’s the first photo of the set for the benefit of all members.

The reason I like this set more than the others from this shoot is, largely, because of the way in which the studio lighting from the two Elinchrom strobes was softened by bouncing it off the walls and ceilings. I think that showcases Aphrodita’s beautiful natural body in the nude rather nicely.

I think it has helped that she was on the floor, using a stool as a prop. There is in fact slightly more light on her face because of that but I think that’s okay.

Ps: a “photographer” on instagram said he liked the lighting in my last few posts and asked me to tell him what equipment and diffuser I used. One of the reasons I write something about lighting in nearly every post is precisely this - to unravel the mystery of lighting. And of course those of you who read my posts will know that the lighting varies from set to set, depending not just on the kit that’s available but also what I’m trying to create and the setting that I’m in. I can’t even say that I’ve perfected my own lighting technique as learning never stops.

For some, however, it’s just a matter of buying the right kit.
