The budget for this show was $10 man. They made this without a proper budget or crew. That's why 2nd season quality goes way up.

quick side note season one actually did have little to no budget cause if i remember correctly it was originally made just for fun and it did really well in Canada and so when Netflix realized how much money it could make in America they picked it up and gave them a bigger budget for season 2 or realized after 2 and gave the budget for season 3

Close, but no cigar. S1 - S7 were made from 2001 too 2007 and Netflix didn't step in until 2014 and/or when they had debated bringing the show back for an 8th season.
