Music Gijinka #2- Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi (Carmina Burana) (Patreon)

Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi (Fortune, Empress of the world) is the first and last movements of Carl Orff's cantata called Carmina Burana (1930s), which in turn was based on several medieval poems from the Carmina Burana manuscript.

It starts with the famous 'Ó Fortuna' song.

It is about man's lamentation against Fortuna, the Roman personifcation of luck, who also symbolizes life's unpredictability.
