Yuan Herong short story (Patreon)

Yuan Herong had a passion in life, and she had a job in her life. Her passion, was to become the strongest woman in the world. Her job, was to be a nurse who helped others. Neither of those things were in conflict, of course, but being a nurse would take up a great amount of time in Yuan's life. Enough time that it would be near impossible to train and hone her body, given the brutal hours it took to work in the hospital. Still, Yuan did like to work out, when she could, and become a stronger woman every single day of her life. It was why as Yuan was in the hospital, taking care of a patient, she was more than confused by what had sounded like a massive explosion down in the waiting room of the hospital. The first thing in her mind, wasn't any concern for her, but anyone caught up in the explosion caused there. Yuan made sure a nurse would be in charge of the patient, and than sprinted right to the source of the noise.
If people were in danger or worse, than they needed someone to help them. It was when she got to the waiting room, she saw what had happened. The source of the explosion was a massive van that had smashed into the waiting room, and at least a dozen or so men with machine guns were screaming in the hospital, demanding doctors and hostages. It was clear that they were criminals and they were on the run from the police, and needed hostages. Even more, they were clearly dangerous, given their heavy body armor and massive weapons. Yuan didn't pay any attention to the barking men who had guns trained on anyone, but on the people trapped under rubble. They needed to be saved! Yuan moved past the armed men, and one of them saw her heading towards a poor man trapped under a large piece of concrete that was larger than him. The armed man was more than angry at the fact that this... nurse, was ignoring him! He aimed his gun right at her head, and threatened to blow it off if she didn't stop walking. Yuan didn't even skip a beat, and the criminal didn't hesitate.
He opened fire, firing off two rounds and the bullets smashed right into the back of the head of Yuan. They were intended to kill her. Instead of going through her head, as most bullets tend to do, they just seemed to explode at the back of her head. Yuan wiped her head, the same way most people would after a fly just landed on it, and than ignored it. The man who shot her just stood there, wondering in horror and confusion at how armor piercing bullets didn't even seem to harm her. As Yuan bent down to grab the concrete, one man had an idea of really making her go down, after watching the bullets fail to harm her. The attacker lifted up a heavy metal chair, one that weighed over 70 pounds, and with all of his force, slammed it on Yuan's back. The metal chair broke and bent, but Yuan was unharmed. If anything, all it did was cause her back muscles to flex on impact against her body, and the man saw how powerful her back appeared to be. It was like reinforced titanium as they flexed, and the man was so terrified by what he had seen, he was forced to back away and hide in a corner, lest he make those muscles hard. Again, Yuan ignored them as she was concerned about the victims. Grabbing the slab of rubble on the poor person, no one told Yuan how heavy it was. That if even four men tried to lift it with all of their might, they would barely have budged it.
Yuan lifted the large slab off of them with just one hand, in the same way a person would move a pillow. Having freed the poor man, the rest of the criminals and everyone else in the waiting room had the same thought go through their heads. What the hell was with this woman?! Not once had she shown in any way that she was similar to what was expected of a nurse, but has been coming off as some superhuman goddess. The criminals were desperate to find a way to bring down this super being before she put their attention on them, so the leader of the group pulled out a special weapon from his belt. It was a standard grenade, one that he had hoped to use against the police, not a single target. He motioned for his men to move and all of them hurtled right behind the heavy vehicle they used to crash into the hospital. With no hesitation at all, the leader of the group threw the grenade right at Yuan, and bucked it as quickly as he could. Yuan, still holding on to the large slab, heard something whistle in the air and without even looking, grabbed it with her free hand. When Yuan saw what was in her hand... she had no idea what it was. Must have been a piece of trash thrown at her by one of those criminals. Annoyed, Yuan squeezed her hand to crush it, and the grenade instantly exploded in the palm of her hand. The grenade exploded in the hand of Yuan... and didn't even shake her at all. Yuan barely felt it, and just tossed the slab aside. The massive concrete slab smashed the vehicle that the criminals used, and the huge several to hunk of metal was moved to such a degree that it fell.
Nearly on top of all the criminals, almost squishing them. The men were only not killed because of their positions, but they felt how heavy the car was, and they couldn't escape their trap at all. For many of the people watching, this would have been a deserved end for them. But despite it all, Yuan was a woman who made a vow to herself and the world around her. That she was a healer, and a saviour, and if lives were in danger, she would work to prevent the loss of life. Setting the poor injured person in a chair, she went to the massive armored car, that weighed several tons, and bent down. Digging her hands as far as she could, Yuan hoisted up the armor car with an impressive amount of ease. Her large biceps didn't even bulge or vein when she did so. With absolutely no difficulty at all, Yuan had lifted up the armored car off of the men, holding it overhead in the rather large waiting room. The men who had started all of this and had attacked Yuan saw that not only had she saved them... but how she did so in an extremely powerful manner. All of the men, in unison, did what any of them would have done in that exact situation.
Yuan was back to work as a nurse while the men were on their hands and knees, waiting for the police to arrest them. Having all surrendered in fear of her, while Yuan herself... didn't have any pride in what she had done. Not ONCE did she prove she was the strongest woman on earth. Yuan sighed, knowing all she did was what any nurse would do, helping people and putting down some trouble makers. Maybe next time... next time, something BIG and exciting would happen! But until then... theirs always her cosplays she does as Chun-Li. Now THOSE were fun, and putting on the outfit was a lot harder than anything she just did today.
