I was able to watch this reaction video as I know you’re trying to see why there are issues withe episode 7 video. They did a really good job with Season 5 and I’m glad to have come across y’all because your reactions are entertaining.

The Hawk/Kenny fight was one of the very few problems I had with the writing this season. The creators have basically turned Hawk into Thor. Hawk in Season 4 = Thor in Infinity War. Hawk in Season 5 = Thor in Endgame. Just like Jay said, there is NO WAY somebody on Hawk's level should lose to Kenny, secret move or not. It's something that easily could have been blocked. Plus, the unnecessary plot armor for Kenny this season is weird as hell. I think the only reason they gave Kenny this win was because you literally have the damn power rangers in Miyangi-Fang. There is NO THREAT from Cobra Kai, so the writers had to give someone from Cobra Kai a special move in order to move the plot forward. Think about it, Sam wasn't going to lose again, whether she faced Tory or Devon. And Miguel and Robby weren't going to lose to anyone either. So that leaves Hawk. Like ya'll said, Kyler is a dumbass, so that leaves Kenny. Hawk was the sacrificial lamb to move the plot forward, plain and simple. The plot armor issue is even more evident in the finale when Kenny hits Robby with the same move. I would have been fine with this scene IF the writers brought back Shawn (Kenny's brother) to train for a couple episodes then beat Hawk. That would have much more believable and it would have made sense because the older brother would have been taking up for the younger brother.

Nah the only problem is that y’all overrate hawk too much , Hawk is good but he’s not all that , that’s something that has been shown literally all seasons , and Kenny got a lot better watch the fight , he’s way more skilled now , compared to season 4 , silver brought a lot of senseis that clearly pushed them hard plus he’s fast asf , in a fight with points , if you’re skilled, fast , plus the ref was on his side , like there’s no problem with the writing, you guys need to stop overrating hawk , after season 4 I saw a bunch people talking like hawk is a superhuman of karate lol , the top dogs of this show students wise are Miguel , Robby and Sam . That’s the real trio of the students

I'm looking forward to the next gen. I gotta say my favorite characters are Kenny and Devin.
