I do recall another series where use of a VR set turned the user into their female character. Several actually, so not entirely out of bounds though I suspect Felix is somehow still in the system or Jessica's body.

Didn't look like they took it off in the images so I thought it was part of Felixs training to make him think he took it off while still being in the system.

Something like that. The clothes are different -Felis has a dark t shirt in the previous strip, now is in a dark tank top and pink undies, which I doubt he had before. And it is green eyed Jess that meets Lisa, not blue eyed Felix, physically anyways..

Explanation is very simple to me... Felix stil has device on his head... and he just woke up "inside" dreamband simulation... there is no device close to him here... I am blind cause I can't see in 215 where is mentioned that Felix took of the device when went to sleep. OK author said something in comments... something about editing last panel to remove the dreamband... it is not removed yet so it looks like Fiona here just woke up inside simulation because there is no device nearby...

Good catch on the eyes I missed that, Lucid dream maybe? or he's now going to change between Felix and Fiona on a trigger like sneezing or sleeping.

Although changing the panel from showing Felix using the Dreamband to him sleeping does unfortunately make a clear hint of what's going on more vague, if you were to go back to previous panels of Felix using the Dreamband (like strip 184 when Felix puts on the device at the beginning of the night) and compare those to this one. The hint is still there, but it's now not as clear.
