Felix takes care of a few final preparations as the time to meet Lisa at the cafe nears.

[I had mistakenly written that Jess was 21 in strip 422 instead of her actual age of 20; so I had to go back and fix a bunch of the dialogue. I've uploaded that revised version if you want to check it out!]

Originally, Felix was going to leave his apartment and crash at Jess' place to connect to Jess' private live-stream. But that would require Felix telling Jess that he been keeping the plan a secret from Craig with the hope to make a mistake now and apologize to Craig later. Of course, not telling Craig creates a huge risk, a risk Jess probably wouldn't be happy about.

But making multiple strips about Felix leaving his apartment, Hugo and Jess picking him up and letting Felix into her apartment, and all the other potential complications that could go with it, felt like an unnecessary distraction. And so I thought to myself, does Felix really need to leave his apartment?

So in my first attempt at this strip, Hugo, Chelsea, Jess and Fiona had finished setting up the phones had started walking to the cafe. Felix excused himself for a quick bathroom break and used that opportunity to silently and without dialogue hide his shoes so that Craig would think he had left. And because that version didn't have any dialogue, the strip ended with Felix back in his room with the door closed and Craig poking his head out of his door and believing that Felix had left since his shoes were missing.

But then I rewrote strips 423 & 424, which provided an opportunity to rewrite this one as well, so I decided to add more dialogue to it, which Felix questioning the wisdom of his scheme, which removed the need for Craig to appear.
