Now that the monster is comfortable with you and your scent closely resembles that of a biologically compatible individual who may be on the cusp of their mating cycle, it will become significantly more attentive and cooperative, which should make it much quicker to learn new commands. Remember to reward your new friend for good performance and to spend time playing with him and getting to know him outside of formal work and training. This will improve your ability to communicate with each other and work together as a team.
