N-POWER v1.0 FOR SNAP HEAP

N-POWER is the next iteration of the original N-POWER Rack previously released for Ableton Live 11!

With a more streamlined effects chain, better distortion and soft clipping behaviors this is a big upgrade to the previous multipurpose post-processing rack! Thanks to snap heaps new REMAP modulator knob behaviors are drastically improved and you can more precisely dial in your desired post-processing outcome!

N-POWER is capable of heavy/delicate multiband compression using two built in N-OTT snap heap racks, low frequency phase fixes, stereo leveling, a fast and simple to use 3band eq and a surgical slice eq, heavy overdrive distortion with a special character, a simple but powerful limiter and a smart soft clipper that helps you push a sound to its limits without the sub getting in the way.

Having the next iteration of N-POWER be directly in SNAP HEAP will help you with sound designing faster inside of phaseplant and unlocks the post processing power of this rack to anyone in any DAW!

FEATURES:

OTT & OTT TIME: This sets the amount of compression and compression time for the two N-OTTs. Amount dials in both N-OTTs one after another. 0% is 1 OTT, 100% is 2 of them. OTT TIME lets you either more heavily compress (-100%) or more delicately compress (100%) a signal. 0% is a good default but higher values are recommended as OTT is doing heavy compression by default.

SUB MONO: This macro lets you remove stereo information in the lower frequency spectrum. The highest amount of stereo removal is 200hz.

STEREO: A bipolar stereo leveler. This lets you either increase or decrease the stereo amount of your signal by +/- 12dB!

3-BAND EQ AND SLICE EQ: Opening the snap heap rack from its minimized view will let you edit both the 3-band eq and slice eq for further eqing! Do a quick mixing decision using the 3-Band EQ that is between Chain 1 and 2 and go into detail and fix harsh areas using the SLICE EQ! Note that SLICE EQ is a premium snapin so if you want to eq your signal in detail you can either get Slice Eq or do more surgical eqing with the snapin filter!

DRIVE: Overdrive distortion which increases exponentially when dialed in! This is fantastic for distorting signals while keeping them leveled at similar volumes! Note that DRIVE also has more of a character than say a standard soft clipper, so be creative with it!

LIMIT: A simple but useful limiter with a low release time which helps you push your sounds into 0db and get the maximum volume out of a signal without introducing distortion! This can be helpful if you want to maximize a signals volume before you start distorting it with a soft clipper to get even more rms out of a signal!

SMART CLIP: This lets you push the end of the signal chain into a transparent soft clipper while the lowend stays dynamically unaffected by distortion! SMART CLIP is extremely useful as you can distort the mids and highs without the lowend distorting the other frequency areas! This can be useful if you want to further push a sound but don`t want the sub to hold you back from gaining extra rms! SMART CLIP will dial in +1dB of sub distortion once you cross the 90% line on the macro for extra crunchy results!

N-OTT FOR SNAP HEAP

N-OTT is a multiband upwards downwards compressor closely replicating the sound of the popular ableton live multiband dynamics preset called OTT.

N-OTT serves a myriad of sound design purposes,  can help tame harsh or inconsistently loud sounds and bring a lot of the hidden spectral details out! N-OTT tries to resemble the original effect as closely as possible while giving u minimalistic control so you can get to sound designing fast within the kilohearts ecosystem.

N-OTT is essential for complex sound design and is just a few clicks away from being used within phaseplant or snap heap standalone!

FEATURES:

AMOUNT: This changes the compression ratios and gain changes of all up- and downwards compressors! This is a much better alternative for dialing in the ott effect contrary to the built in snap heap Mix knob, as that will introduce phasing issues while AMOUNT retains its phase coherence.

TIME: This sets the Attack and Release times of all compressors globally! -100% will result in heavy compression while 100% will result in snappier and more dynamic compression. 0% is a good standard but a higher % is always recommended as ott crushes the dynamics of any sound heavily at its default time.
