N-SPECTRAL GATE [LIVE 11] (Patreon)

N-SPECTRAL GATE v1.2 FOR ABLETON LIVE 11.3.3 IS HERE

This ableton live rack is a spectral noise gate!

N-SPECTRAL GATE lets you filter out the noisy components of incoming audio! This isolates the most dominant/loudest resonances/harmonics in a signal!

This gate maxes out at 0dB and can isolate/filter any signal down to its core fundamental frequencies! Highly recommended for sound design purposes!

N-SPECTRAL GATE offers two modes:

ZERO LATENCY: Splits the frequency spectrum into individual bands using minimum phase filters, which can cause lots of vocoder-type artifacts and post-ringing.

HYBRID PHASE: A mix between minimum phase and linear phase. The lowend of the spectrum stays minimum phase, but everything above ~200hz gets phase corrected, allowing for partial linear phase spectral processing at only 36ms latency.

N-SPECTRAL GATE IR.wav audio file and N-MLC m4l device are required for HYBRID PHASE mode to work.

Frequency splitting happens PER note, up to 18000hz. The sub 300hz range uses half the amount of bands for splitting in order to minimize extreme phase rotation.

FEATURES:

SPECTRAL GATE: Sets the spectral gate threshold for this effect. Pushing this towards the loudest peak of your signal will isolate more frequencies depending on your input volume.

RELEASE: Sets the envelope release for each isolation band. The isolation happens at a certain speed for each band. Turning the release towards 10ms will result in a more heavily denoised/isolated sound and reduces resonant decays.

ZERO LATENCY: Minimum phase filter mode.

HYBRID PHASE: Hybrid Phase filter mode. (36ms latency)

Updated:

Adjusted volume to be more like the unprocessed signal.

Adjusted Hybrid Phase Volume.
