N-SUB v1.1 FOR SNAP HEAP IS HERE

This snap heap rack lets you generate a dynamic parallel sub osc!

N-SUB generates a clean sinewave from any audio input and has a 3 octave range covering all relevant sub region notes!

This rack dynamically follows the audio/amplitude of any incoming signal and has abuilt-in self-triggering pitch envelope with adjustable transient detection sensitivity!

Want to have a sub play longer than the input audio SUB DECAY will allow you to extend the sub osc up to more than 1s giving you plenty of decay for short sub bursts or long 808-like behavior!

N-SUB lets you easily change the note of the generated sub note! Using C0-B0 covers all notes in any scale! The macro behavior is stepped for every note!

Opening the rack from the minimized view will let you more easily determine the note you want N-SUB to play by looking at the SCALE Remap modulator while changing the C0-B0 macro!

N-SUB offers MIDI INPUT, allowing for seamless note tracking between a C0-B0 range repeated across the whole piano roll! If you want to go an octave higher or lower you will have to automate the PITCH BEND macro on those specific notes to change the octave!

You also get a PITCH BEND macro which you can use to offset the tracking by minus or plus 1 octave! You can automate or modulate this macro for even more control!

Mixing N-SUB with the original audio signal is easy! The DELTA macro control lets you mix between -100%: DRY to 0%: DRY/WET PARALLEL to 100%: WET! This allows for leveling too as the volumes will gradually change!

This lets you easily isolate the generated sub if you want to further process your sub osc with distortion, filters and more!

For N-SUB to work correctly i recommend not having lowend in the incoming audio signal! This will make sure the generated sub osc has room to breathe and can track audio movements correctly!

FEATURES:

DELTA: This lets you mix between 100% DRY, 100% DRY/WET PARALLEL and 100% WET. Whether you want to level the generated sub or isolate it for further processing this macro is useful for a bunch of things!

SUB DECAY: Lets you further decay the sub than the amplitude of the input signal! This is especially useful if you have short bursty audio signals or want to create an 808-like behavior!

C0-B0: Lets you choose a note between C0 up to B0! The note selection is stepped! You can use the PITCH BEND macro to transpose the range up an octave to more easily hear the note you're choosing!

PITCH BEND: Lets you transpose the pitch +/- 3 octaves! Very useful for changing the octave on the fly or modulating the pitch of the generated sub osc however way you want!

ENV DECAY: This lets you adjust the pitch envelope decay time! From really short to long and depthy!

PITCH ENV: Increases the sub pitch envelope modulator! From mild to extreme pitch modulation!

ENV SENS: Adjusts the transient detection for retriggering the pitch envelope! Depending on the complexity and room/tail/decay of your input signal this may have to be adjusted until you get the results you want from PITCH ENV!

MIDI INPUT: N-SUB can track incoming MIDI notes to more easily blend it with your surrounding musical context! Read up on how to input midi notes to your VST audio plugin (SNAP HEAP) in your DAW of choice!

REQUIREMENTS (Some plugins need to be owned, others only need to be installed):

Need to own:Snap Heap (v2.1.0 or higher)

Needs to be installed: SLICE EQ, Kilohearts Essentials (30 Free Snapins)

Will the midi function of this work on FL studio?

Eyevan

This is actually insane. I've been finding it incredibly useful already. Now I wonder if there's a way to add specific harmonics like 5ths or octaves in precise amounts.

Does anyone know why my ableton would crash after trying to open this rack? My computer is more than capable of running it. I even tried it on a blank project and it still crashes. All of the other racks work perfectly fine but this one just keeps crashing.

Nasko

Aye! This is probably because you`re not on the khs version 2.0.9! :) try updating and see if it fixes that!

RezBomb

Yeah that fixed it! Thanks!
