PHYSION Mk2 T-SPLIT FOR ABLETON LIVE 11.2.6 IS HERE

This rack requires third party VSTs: Physion Mk II, reTune/Pitchmap

(You can load the rack, insert reTune/Pitchmap and any linear-phase bandpass filter then save the rack under whatever name you want!)

Physion Mk2 can either be purchased from Plugin Boutique or Eventide's website:

Eventide Store: Physion Mk2

Sweetwater (49$): Sweetwater

Plugin Boutique: Physion Mk2

ReTune and Pitchmap are spectral pitch correction plugins and the only ones currently on the market.

Such complex effects can cause smearing artifacts. This kind of smearing causes blurred/smeary transients (pre-ringing) and excessively decaying resonances (post-ringing) which can be perceived as low-quality sounding artifacts.

PHYSION Mk2 T-SPLIT uses Eventides' Physion MkII Transient splitter to Isolate transients before they get processed by either reTune or Pitchmap. This causes any given processed sound to not suffer from these low-quality sounding pre-ringing artifacts!

Physion Mk2 is also being used at the end of the rack chain to remove unwanted post-ringing artifacts. These would be the longer lasting, decaying resonances that can give both reTune and Pitchmap their vocoder-like sound.

The third feature of this rack is an open slot for any linear phase bandpass filter of your choice! (LIN.P. BP) This linear phase bandpass will limit the pitch correction process of both reTune and Pitchmap to a specific frequency area, rather than applying it to the whole frequency spectrum, further improving the quality of the spectral pitch correction results!

All you need to do is load in your linear phase filter of choice, set it to bandpass mode and this rack will do the rest for you!

If you do not own a linear phase eq/filter you can also download:

PHYSION Mk2 T-SPLIT + MRATIOMB ableton rack!

This rack requires third party VSTs: Physion Mk II, reTune/Pitchmap, MRatioMB

MRatioMB is a free linear phase frequency splitter. It can be download from Meldaproductions MFreeFXBundle!

DOWNLOAD: MRatioMB

MRatioMB is already set up in linear phase bandpass mode. All you have to do now is move the lower and upper band limit to your liking, depending on which frequencies you want reTune/Pitchmap to affect!

FEATURES:

TRANSIENT SPLIT: This increases the amount of spectral transient splitting. The higher, the more transients will be retained in their original form.

TRANSIENT DECAY: This sets the length of the isolated transients.

LIN. P. BP: This is the linear phase bandpass filter slot. Choose any linear phase eq of your choice! You CAN leave this slot empty if you do not need to isolate the spectral pitch correction process further.

VST: This is the reTune/Pitchmap slot. Load in a default reTune/Pitchmap vst instance in here and save/overwrite the rack.

POST DE-SMEAR: This increases the amount of post-processing tonal decay removal. The higher, the shorter/snappier sounds will feel. This helps to reduce post-ringing.

DE-SMEAR DECAY: Shortens the tonal decay. Tonal information gets removed quick the higher this amount is set.

(Updated: Physion Mk2 VST2 rack now available!)

GENIUS BRO! COLORBASS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME

Awesome stuff!!! :) For some reason, the VST3 version of Physion doesn't work so I'm unable to use the rack. Is there any workaround or would a vst2/au version be possible?

ForkStop

im getting lost trying to plug the plugins into rack and have watched the stream to try to rebuild my self but get lost at the all the inversion stuff

ForkStop

Im re watching the stream and im kind of getting it. I understand what phase inversion is, I think there are just a lot of components to this rack and i was overwhelmed

ForkStop

works with retune/pitchmap outside of the rack but not inside

LAK3

Can you help out with this rack in patcher or FL studio routing ?
