N-BASS DESIGN v1.5 FOR SNAPHEAP

This snap heap rack is a audio-fx bass designing tool to create entirely new bass sounds out of any incoming sound!

Besides only having to modulate/automate the main MODULATE ME macro, N-BASS DESIGN is a fully fledged bass creation chain featuring:

All these features combined result in a processing and modulation chain similar to what would happen with software synths paired with intricate post-processing chains. N-BASS DESIGN combines all these techniques into one easy to use interface and allows for fully procedural bass generation based on input signal (aka. audio)!

The goal of this snap heap rack is to make experimental bass sound designing fun! You can use 1 audio sample as the input or 5! It's totally up to you!

HOW TO USE:

MODULATE ME is your main modulation macro. This controls the volume and filter movements when increased! This determines the rhythm and flow of your bass sound!

You can then increase the other macros and play around with the FILTERS to introduce complex filter movement!

Next up is the KEY [C-B] macro!

This controls the note you want N-BASS DESIGN to focus on.

Opening the snap heap rack from the minimized view reveals the SCALE KEYBOARD using the Remap modulator

The dot determines what note you're on. This will make it far easier to select your key!

KEY [C-B] affects the SYNTH +/- resonators and the SUB generator!

The MODULATE ME remap modulator can be found next to the KEYS remap!

This lets you modulate more things with the main MODULATE ME macro! It is highly recommended to be used for modulation in the FX section

This is the creative FX section. Add any desired FX in here! You can of course modulate them or automate them however you like!

The POST-FX section has two major controls called OTT and OTT TIME. OTT is a bipolar macro, meaning that 0% in the middle is one full OTT and 100% on the right is 2x OTT. OTT TIME Adjusts the Attack and release of the OTT's. AMP is a simple Output gain, increasing distortion into the final Smart Clipper inside the SUB+SMART CLIP rack.

Next up we have the SUB + SMART CLIP section!

A lot of these macros are the same macros also featured in N-SUB ( N-SUB )

The additional S-PRESERVE and S-CLIP are relabeled macros for the built-in N-SMART CLIP ( N-SMART CLIP )

Opening the N-SUB + FX snap heap rack reveals the SUB FX section:

There is a Distortion effect on this group by default, but you can add your own fx such as filters, distortion, delay or other snap heap racks (example N-NOISE) to this SUB-FX section to design your perfect sub bass in parallel without affecting the bass signal!

Finally, the EQ CORRECT section inside N-SUB + FX lets you clean up the final processed signal with an easy to use 3band eq and a more surgical Slice EQ.

FEATURES:

SYNTH +/-: Controls the amount of added saw or square harmonic resonance. The key of the resonator will change depending on the KEY[C-B] macro!

SHIFT: A clean frequency shifter that happens before processing inside N-BASS DESIGN. This can be helpful to readjust certain harmonics especially when you have multi-layered input signals.

KEY[C-B]: Sets the note of the +/- resonator and SUB generator. N-BASS DESIGN will try to impose a chosen key by adjusting the sub note and resonance that can be applied.

MODULATOR macro. This is a set of hp, negative peak, shelf and lowpass filters! There are 2 filter combinations (-100%/+100%) with the left one having an additional lowpass filter.

MODULATE: This is the main modulatable AMP/FILTER macro. Use this to clean up audio and introduce rhythm/flows to your bass sounds!

N-COLOR DESIGN v1.4 FOR SNAPHEAP

This snap heap rack is a audio-fx bass designing tool to create entirely new bass sounds out of any incoming sound with a built-in N-SPECTRAL SCALER rack!

This is a melodic alternative to the otherwise atonal sounding N-BASS DESIGN snap heap rack.

N-COLOR DESIGN has a fully built-in N-SPECTRAL SCALER rack on full amount to deliver stunning melodic results without overbearing the process and sounding artificial.

Manual wise its the exact same as N-BASS DESIGN except for a couple of extra things:

A new snap heap rack within N-COLOR DESIGN called N-S-SCALER can now be found. The AMOUNT macro adjusts the amount of color filtering! LP CEILING Adjusts the maximum processing range for high frequencies!

The second macro [MAJ/MIN] switches between major and minor scale

KEY [C-B] now controls the SYNTH +/- note, sub note AND  scale selector!

v1.0 features new bipolar OTT in the POST FX rack and a 3 octave +- range for the sub pitch bend. The default distortion on the N-SUB module has been removed.
