N-GROWL V1.7 FOR SNAP HEAP

This snap heap rack transforms any input signal into transparent input-dependent growl basses.

N-GROWL works both as a standalone Audio-effect and within Phaseplant!

Similarly to N-BASS DESIGN, N-GROWL does the majority of the work for you. Signal clean-up, automatic modulation, post processing and post-audio sub generation are all essential to bass sounds and get taken care of automatically with this rack.

Growl basses in nature are transient focused, vowel-based audio signals that N-GROWL generates using a strong bandpass filter and a unique ring-modulation lfo-table, allowing ANY input signal to generate transient-like audio-rate modulation to create a signal-dependent-unique result.

Opening the snap heap rack from the minimized view reveals the NOTE KEYBOARD using the Remap modulator!

The dot determines what note you're on. This will make it far easier to select your bass growl note being played!

N-GROWL is very transparent by nature, as it does not impose a very specific sound to incoming signals. This means customisability is greatly promoted within the racks FX section:

A disperser is in this FX section by default, getting you a head start on making your bass growls unique.

FEATURES:

[C0-B0]: Lets you select the bass-note being played. Deactivates with MIDI-input

IR TYPE: Chooses between 3 different convolution IR's. These will impact the perceived dry/wet-ness and complexity of the growl bass.-100 is Type 1, 0% is type 2, 100% is Type 3.

PITCH: Lets you pitch bend the sub oscillator and incoming signal +-1 octave.

AM: Adjusts the amount of Audio-modulation, that N-GROWL imposes on the incoming signal. This is crucial to the growl-bass characteristics.

[AUTO] - [MOD]: multi-function macro. Left bipolar macro range adjusts the automatic audio-follower bandpass modulation. Right bipolar macro range lets you manually modulate/automate the bandpass filter.

Need to own:Snap Heap (v2.1.4 or higher)

Needs to be installed: Convolver, Multipass, Slice EQ, Kilohearts Essentials (30 Free Snapins)

updates: V1.7: Added N-GROWL PP version to be used within phaseplant only. Additionally, N-GROWL now supports MIDI IN Pitch bend. Pitch bending with the PITCH Macro now only pitch bends the AM Module and Sub due to phase inconsistencies with the previous pre-processed signal pitch shifter.

Post processing has been slightly adjusted to smoothen spectrum.
