Hey guys, quick update regarding Maeve's Academy! We already started developing v0.4.0, and after some thought and discussion with the team, we'll be replacing Lucy, the shopkeeper, with another character. We found that her replacement will be a far much better fit for the role Lucy previously had, and it allows for more flexible use of the character regarding dialogue and maybe upcoming events. If you're curious about how her replacement will look, have a peek for yourselves!

For those who liked Lucy, she will be returning in the future, but maybe in a different role. Anyways, that's it! Thanks for your continued support of Maeve's Academy, and we look forward to sharing more updates with you in the future!Let us know what you guys think, or leave any questions you may have down below!

Can Lucy be a shady merchant who sells bootleg goods in the alleys of the town?

I am a little disappointed in the change, but I am excited to see what you have in store for this character

Very nice

By this point, her personality, traits, job, and design are 100% completely open to changes. The only thing that stays in is her red hair though. So she can be anything, including a shady merchant!

I always thought she was a secret Demon or something given her name, red hair, and general shady nature. I'd say secret black market salesperson is a good role for that original kind of character.

We'll miss you Lucy

In terms of where Lucy could be put a merchant still seems like a good idea, maybe a clothing store? Her design shows she has some fashion sense so maybe a tailor who can swap clothing palettes if that's sounds like something you'd want to work on. Otherwise maybe move her to the Academy grounds as a supplemental staff member like an archivist or a quartermaster of sorts.
