I cried like 7 times watching this episode. It was so well done, and hit the themes of family SO GOOD! And yet again, geniously mirroring the different family dynamics; this time when it comes to celebrating birthdays.


This video was pre-filmed before my trip to Asia.

im so with you on addicted thailand..like NOTHING is going to top this im sorry, the way it perfectly realised this family story and delivered on so many set ups through the series. Its literally so satisfying seeing it all pay off like this..like I could scream from the rooftops its just so good

Well that is very insensitive so I’m glad he didn’t lol. Also I’m pretty sure the sister was never actually going to kill herself, it was misinterpreted based on the circumstances of what they believed happened in her death lol.

I love that WuBi was so upset about the loss of Su Yu more than he was about getting the truth. Kinda like when a child goes missing for a bit and the parents yells at the child, but it's because of the fear.

I also love the dynamic between the two families. Both are okay in their own way, but it just proves that you can be broke as hell and still give your kids the world.

Rewatching this with you reminds me why it is one of my all time favorites. The writing and acting ATE. Every damn episode. Every single cast member. We have family and relationship dynamics of every dimension here. Stories are being told and you can feel every bit of emotion in these performances.
