1:15 translation of the words on the phone: outgoing call was to "Mommy's baby" my question is, if you really loved Su Yu and cared for him so much - then why didnt u ACTUALLY care this past 10 years?? i want to empathise with this lady but her (lack of) actions doesnt make sense? can u actually really care and feel for your kid or someone and not actually do something about it? and still expect a certain level of intimate relationship? [am i being overly sensitive]

(also you're a horrible mom you dont even know which school your kid goes to - you only remember that he gets top student and bask in that glory when it has nothing to do with you)

4:59 so in the chinese context, saying your parents' full name like what Su Yu did is considered very rude/disrespectful - and it also shows how much Su Yu is treating her like a random passer-by lady (coupled with the 'your wife/other family's matters etc)

38:39 translation: "wu bi.. this kid has quite some funky tricks up his sleeves"

and the "paid actor" actually worked! i could see empathy in Su Yu's eyes for Wu Bi LOLLL the screenwriting is tight and the camera work is good. Putting aside whether some consider this a BL or not, it's a good drama! i love how the director is showing us the lives of these people and their struggles, decisions, developments.
