Forum posts at 10:04 (words are a bit puny/blurry so im half guessing) "so what if your/his grades are good? his moral character is corrupted" "above commentor, we should relinquish/strip him of his class representative/president title" "the most important thing is for him to apologise, especially to those who should have deserved the assistance funding" 10:31 continued forum posts "exactly it's these people in high school that make such use of their good relations with teachers and whatnots - absolutely disgusting" "yes really shameless!" "all you people think you can get into college just with a high school assistance funding? nine out of ten recipients are excellent in their studies. How will those (good at studies) with poor family backgrounds endure this?"

13: 04 someone pointed it out to me, that Wu Bi noticed that even Su Yu's schoolbag had to be stitched multiple times - he has it so hard already and this happened to him - the impact it had to the remaining of his dignity indeed. :'(

19:32 for context to all who dont know, winter solstice is quite an important time for chinese families as a time to gather and eat dumplings together, for it marks the end of the harshest bit of winter. dumplings are round and represents reunion - if im not wrong the northerners like their dumpling fillings salty and the southerners like it sweet. when uncle/dad says (21:27), "Today is winter solstice, the day to eat dumplings", he also means that it's a proper day to gather/to reunite together. dumplings (a different type) are also eaten during lunar new year.
