PART IA price for the ride, gladly paid. But one can't help but wonder if the kind stranger knows that this isn't Otis' first time waving his thumb on the side of the road, or that many drive that exact route specifically in hopes of encountering the infamous hitchhiker?

I'm starting to question if he even has a broken down truck...

I must ask, after reading what you wrote in the sfw post- how long did it take to paint allll of that fur?

Hmmmm I couldn't precisesly time it, but when I posted the first image, I already had the fur mostly drawn (three layers, one for dark hairs and two for highlights that go over the lineart), and I added one more layer of dark hairs on top there. And I did some minor finishing touches here and there, and rested my hand a bunch because drawing hair like that hurts 😂 I'd guess drawing a full pelt like that from start to finish, I could do it well within an hour, depending how many breaks my hand needs 🤔

Good lord you are amazing (and SO dedicated to your craft, mad respect). And I lament it’s taking forever when I spend fifteen minutes on it 🫠 I was a fool, an infant!!

jhsjhsdfghj take it with a grain of salt though, for all I know it could also be either 15 minutes or four hours, I often do the hair in smaller patches among drawing other parts! And the hour estimation includes breaks, I used to be able to do much more hair faster and in one sitting, but now I'm wiser and in more pain and have to rest while doing it 😂

Ahah I promise I’ll be considerate! Btw taking the opportunity to tell you how much I adore your work- looking at your art is so inspiring, it always manages to get me out of art slumps. I don’t even know anything about 98% of the characters you draw, they could be all your own ocs as far as I’m concerned ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (but I love your art so much that now I’m sincerely fully invested in Hawks and Endeavor)

I saw the sketch for this and was definitely excited to see where it went. Very happy to see the results. I also have a half formed joke about Otis being an elevator company, and maybe in another life he would be a *full service* elevator attendant, but I fear this image has melted the rest of that idea out of my mind.
