Todos tenemos ese recuerdo del momento en el que dijimos “de aquí soy”. Puede ser un viaje, una canción, el primer día en alguna clase, un documental, una película, etc. Siempre existe esa experiencia y recordarla nos llena de nostalgia y nos enchina la piel.

Este video me recuerda cuando con mucha ilusión empecé a trabajar de segunda cámara tomando fotos de bodas hace ya 11 años. Me recuerda a esas noches sin dormir editando o de fiesta en algún evento; me recuerda mis primeras fotos que me gustaron y las veces que la cagué; me recuerda las sonrisas y los besos que capturé y la incertidumbre del futuro, pero sobre todo me recuerda que pasara lo que pasara, bueno o malo, fui fiel a mí mismo con cada decisión que tomaba y eso me hace muy feliz.

We all have that memory of the moment when we said “This is who I am”. It can be a trip, a song, the first day in a class, a documentary, a movie, etc. That experience always exists and remembering it fills us with nostalgia and gives us goosebumps.

This video reminds me of when I started working as a second camera taking wedding photos with great enthusiasm 11 years ago. It reminds me of those sleepless nights editing or partying at an event; it reminds me of my first photos that I liked and the times I screwed up; it reminds me of the smiles and kisses I captured and the uncertainty of the future, but most of all it reminds me that no matter what, good or bad, I was true to myself with every decision I made and that makes me very happy.
