I'm probably going to offend some readers by saying this, but I've had grits exactly once in my life. It was an eye-opening experience: I didn't know it was possible for something to be so tasteless, and I don't mean low quality, I mean taste so much like...nothing. "No wonder Southerners came up with moonshine." - Jim Gaffigan, on grits Anyway, Zandar and Wadi both look good in suits, though I have a documented weakness for sexy women in suits.

Women in suits are indeed attractive. I’ve had very variable experiences with grits; it needs to be served hot with generous amounts of good butter.

Well somebody messed em up then. I've had bad grits that just tasted like water, and it's a dadgum travesty an' a insult to the South to treat grits thataway! They're made of corn; that's what they should taste like. Tortilla chips are made of corn and they aren't "bland" but you're also not supposed to eat them plain. They compliment other things. Grits are meant to be drenched with butter and salt, and you have them alongside savory breakfast items like bacon, sausage, eggs, etc.

Walter Reimer

Grits make an effective cement. That's about all it's good for.

In my defense on the grits issue, maybe it's because I'm Minnesotan and grits don't really...exist here. At least not anywhere that I've lived. We're pancake and waffle people up here.

One thing to try, if you ever get down to South Carolina, is Low Country Shrimp and Grits, which is lovely.
