Being delegated to eventually becoming a giant river fish when you die is certainly *an* afterlife. It follows a similar superstition of sailors becoming dolphins. Now, I'll add an additional question; If your afterlife and the afterlife of your forebears was a physical place in the actual world, and it had somehow gotten corrupted by something a thoughtless person with too much money did, how desperate would you be? Anyone remember Teflon?
