Decadent Arsenic

So, in previous posts I have endeavored to imply that 1: the fish in the river are sacred to the river spirit Ol'Misty and 2: after a handmaiden has passed the mortal realm and into the bosom of said river spirit, they turn into a fish. So, the sacrilege of polluting the river is probably the highest form of mortal trechery possible in accordance to Ol'Misty's edicts. Fishing is frowned upon but on occasion necissary towards the sustanance of life. Overfishing is sacrlege because you are taking too much and it will harm the existing environment. Pollution is the direct sullying of any and all life that is in the river. If the river is polluted, everything dies, including the plantlife that relies on the water itself for sustanance. Aelfig is the first handmaiden that gets to confront the reality of overindustrialization. My impetus for this being her story is ***Fuck Teflon***.
