I was in the middle of getting ready for my date when the doorbell rang. I froze, glancing at the clock. He was early. Of course he was.

I’d been planning to use my morphing powers to give myself a little extra confidence boost—something subtle, but noticeable. Now, I didn’t have time for subtle.

The doorbell rang again, and I sighed. Well, if he’s early, he gets what he gets.

I closed my eyes and let my magic flow. My body shifted instantly—my chest swelled dramatically, growing five times its usual size but somehow maintaining a perfect, natural shape. My hips widened slightly to balance it out, and my skin took on a flawless, dewy glow. My hair look good as it fit my frame better now with the upgrades in place on.

I bounced up to open the door with my most dazzling smile.

“Hey!” I said, leaning casually against the doorframe. “You’re early.”

My date, Jake, blinked, his eyes flicking down for a split second before snapping back up to my face. “Uh, yeah. Sorry, I thought I’d give myself some extra time to find parking. Didn’t mean to catch you off guard.”

I laughed, waving a hand. “No worries. Come on in. I’ll just be a minute.”

I stepped aside to let him in, and he awkwardly shuffled past, trying his best not to stare. I could feel his eyes on me as I walked back to my room, and I couldn’t help but feel a little smug.

Once I was out of sight, I quickly finished my makeup and threw on some heels that I knew would leave him speechless. When I stepped back into the living room, Jake was staring out the window, clearly trying to play it cool.

“Ready?” I asked, grabbing my purse.

He turned around, his eyes widening again. “Uh, yeah. You look… amazing.”

I smiled, flipping my hair. “Thanks. Let’s go.”
