While doing research for the last two exercises I've updated (6 and 7), I've delved a bit more into technical perspective, and ways to take advantage of certain tricks and techniques without having to explicitly rely upon vanishing points. This is an extension of the video I posted last week about drawing perfect circles in 3D space - how to use that technique to construct exact and specific proportions in perspective.

Drawabox - Measuring in Perspective: Constructing to Scale

Initially I meant for this video to be a part of the Intro video for lesson 7, but I figured it'd be plenty valuable on its own, even for people just getting past lesson 1. It all stems quite heavily from the things I covered last week in the 'Perfect Circles in 3D Space' video (which you can check out here: https://youtu.be/yFjrSddZiv4). Long story short, this is how you actually go through the laborious process of constructing boxes of a specific proportion within a scene (but still without actually drawing any vanishing points!) Drawabox is a series of free structured drawing lessons that explore the basic mechanics of drawing, along with the fundamental skills of capturing the illusion of solid form and constructing complex objects from their simplest components.
