Hi everyone-

I have rewritten and redrafted this post so many times! But I will just say it as it is.

I want to say thank you, to new and returning patrons, and those who have stayed with me from the beginning. Words cannot express how much your support has helped me through these months. Not just expenses but your likes, comments and feedback help me improve my craft and make better content. With that, I would like to share some exciting news with you.

If you don’t know who Jarl44 and Karma are, now you do. By day, they save lives and cure the sick, by night they are simmers like you and me. And the reason why I’ve put the spotlight on them is because, Jarl and Karma have recently donated a Rokoko Smartsuit Pro to my patreon!

I cried so hard that my eyes were swollen. I was so overwhelmed and in disbelief, so thankful but shocked all at the same time. Suddenly my dreams of becoming a pro animator-modder wasn’t so far-fetched anymore.

The Rokoko suit is a motion capture suit – capable of reading body movements to be transferred into games or animated into movies. Not only will it speed up the animation process, my animation quality will become more life-like. It also means that I can focus less on hand animating 1,930 bones frame by frame from scratch and invest more time into developing well-rounded mods!

The suit will take two months to arrive. In the meantime, I am reading up all I can about how to work with a Rokoko smart suit. I’m also practicing cleaning up mocap files from online! (This is harder than it sounds. Some of these free license files have terrible quality and I rather hand animate from scratch 😆 ). I will make these available to download!

If you have any Rokoko mocap videos that you think can help me learn or know anyone who has a suit, feel free to share them with me. We’re all learning this together! I can’t wait to share my mocap journey with you. If you have any requests, mod or animation ideas, WRITE A LIST! We can make them come true!

I'm glad to also help and send some motivation your way. Mocap suits sounds awesome! They will make life easier for sure. I saw some Mixamo animations, but converting them are seriously a pain for me. Especially when the limbs get all twisted, I don't have the patience for it lol. Thanks for making these great animations and interactions :)They have seriously improved the Sims 4 for me. Thanks for doing what the makers of the Sims won't bother to do. You're very talented and the thank you animation is adorable!! So glad I found your channel! Look forward to seeing more of your wonderful work! Good luck and all the best to you!

Awww that's so sweet, really appreciate it. Me too! I love the Sims so much, been playing since the Sims 2. And I haven't ever stopped lol. Mixamo is a great place for animations, I saw some hurt animations there's one with a hurt walk cycle. The sims 4 doesn't really have great pain animations, like for serious pain. I have a sim in a story who gets into a battle and is mortally wounded, but very hard to do a dramatic scene like that :3. I saw some hurt animations doesn't matter which. But any would be awesome to add to the game if possible, if you want. I know what a pain these are to do, I haven't even attempted to be honest, once was enough for me lol. Thank you so so much for providing all these wonderful dance animations! :D

Oh wow! Thanks so much, am so happy! :) Will definitely send to you once completed. Although I'm not a youtuber or do these online, would love to send them to you. I like to do dramatic things in the Sims :3. But so hard to do when some of the default animations in the game are so cartoony it sucks all the seriousness out of it, if I'm aiming for it to be serious lol. Am so happy to see these lovely animations you provide for us, so that our films look perfect! Btw the updated Mod for the ball room dance, is excellent. I'm loving watching my couple dance. It makes things much easier for me, instead of having to get the teleporter out each time and going down the list of animations, really helpful indeed :)
