Don't remember where I saw it but I think its pretty good description. Ketil is basically the perfect slave owner. As long as he personally is doing well he is nice and caring, even offering a way out for his slaves but ultimately he will lash out when his interests are at stake. When he is personally hurt the act drops and he doesn't mind being as bad as he could be. He is someone who believes he is a good person and wants others to believe that as well, like "the exception" among slave owners, but he still uses the systemic violence and slavery to his advantage every day. About the Leif reunion, the manga author stated that it is missing because he didn't feel right writing a joyful reunion before or after the Arnheid part of this episode so he decided to drop it.

The part about Leif checking his money was amazing, lol

By the way, there is a short additional scene that didn’t fit in episode 18 or 19 due to the episode runtime limitations, but it’s available on youtube on Mappa’s channel, it would make sense to watch it before episode 19. To find it - search “Vinland Saga Episode 18.5” on youtube.

Bro you are gunna anger the fanbase of this anime. But I 100% agree that this is the fist ep of the goddamn season that didnt feel dragged. So much of this season was dragging minute elements that didnt add to the plot. And I am not even criticizing the lack of action or whatever. A story that lacks action can still be told in a way that is not so poorly paced. Like they did a damn jump cut for leif and thorfinn reunion and throughout the season we had like half eps where nothing literally happened lmao.
