My thoughts in vague bullet points: - Mountain lions are our bears where I grew up -Watching Mexican freetail bats fly out at sunset (and the one who harrassed an unpleasant library customer) -Sad story of my dad (a cartoonist) meeting Charles Schultz -Winchester House is bunk. The history is much more interesting. -Mr. Cramer and his dog Petey are the ghosts at the library where I used to work. -Books are not sacred objects. -A book's place is not everywhere. You have also described my job. -Dad used to make welded steel art. I remember his studio. -Love you and this community.
